Teddy thats a bit of a buggar.
If it were me I would have a bit of a crack at seeing if it will turn in the next 4 days.
What she can do is throw a mattress on the floor, kneel on it and put her arms down on to the floor so she has her head down and her bottom up.
I would do this for 3 10 min sessions a day.
It will do no harm but may very well turn it.
The idea of this is to take the breech out of the pelvis.
Babies heads are the heaviest part of the body so with luck if the breech comes out of the pelvis the weight of the head will pull the baby over a bit like a freestyle swimmwer in a swimming pool when she stands up and walks around
Just make sure you get them to recheck the position when she is admitted for her caeser on Monday, you never know your luck.

Just read the news. I feel so sorry for your daughter, but the main thing is that baby arrives safely and mum is well.

My daughter need an emergency c section after being in labour, and after having had a forceps delivery with her first, she really wanted to try to give birth naturally second time around. It was not to be, but both mum and baby were safe.
At least now you know when the baby will be born, it gives you all chance to rest and prepare.
Wishing her luck.

Hi TWG

sorry to hear your daughter is disappointed

however the main thing is that she & baby are ok.

Both of my pregnancies ended in elective sections, and whilst it would have been nice to experience labour and childbirth, not to mention nice to avoid having my abs sliced through twice over!, I have no complaints whatsoever, as I have 3 beautiful and healthy children.

Wishing her all the best,

and who knows, the baby might turn before then anyway

Interesting information Tania.
Nobody told me about that!

I think hospitals here are more wary of breech deliveries nowadays. They can be long events, ......I know, but the most important thing is that Mum and babe are well, no matter what type of delivery.

Hoping for some good rest over the next few days for all concerned.

Good morning all. Daughter slept well last night, baby has been moving a lot so fingers crossed. I think she has accepted the fact that she wont have a natural birth as for OH and myself not so sure, but have to be positive. Youngest had her last GCSE yesterday and says she will spend time with eldest, which should be fun to see lol. All your messages mean sooo much and I tell my daughter too. This baby is going to be so loved. I cannot wait to post on here time, sex and weight of baby, party time then I think, champers and bendy straws at the ready to celebrate with my friends on here.

all my love

Good to hear you're all feeling more positive, TWG, and that daughter's had a good nights sleep - hopefully that makes things seem a lot brighter as there’s nothing like tiredness to bring you down.

I’m sure you all just cannot wait for Monday now so that you can shower the baby with all that love . . . . . . . . Well worth the wait, definitely.

Look after yourselves. Our thoughts are with you and look forward to your updates, especially Mondays one!!

Love

Good evening all. Thanks again for all the messages. I know this maybe wishful thinking but daughter thinks that the baby may be turning, I can feel and see the head on her right side near her ribs, so he has moved a little bit. Ooh fingers are so crossed, she is adamant that she wants a scan to confirm if the baby has turned or not. She is such a fighter lol.
