Hi Uzzi, I've just finished reading The Warrior's Princess, by Barbara Erskine. I'd recomment it to anyone.

Genre...well it's historical fiction with a good dash of time-slip. It's as though two stories are being told, one in the distant past and one in the present, but the two are linked supernaturally.

Almost ashamed to admit it was a Jeffrey Archer book lol.

Prisoner of Birth.

I really enjoyed it.......but I actually like the way he writes ..........I know some don't xx

Can also give a big thumbs up to TWs ........she's my favourite authour and that's a stunning example of her talent x

I'm working my way through a few of the classics again, as I haven't read them for years and years (and Amazon had an offer on at £1.99 each!).
So I've just finished reading Tess of the D'Urbervilles....it was lovely as ever.

I've only read the third Uzzi and did enjoy that. Certainly made me look at prisoners and prison life in a totally different way. xx

Playing For Pizza by John Grisham, not one of his best books, Innocent Man was his best, as it was a non-fiction, fantastic, think the catogory is crime/thriller, damn good read.

For really good historical fiction Uzzi......I'd recommend Sarum by Edward Rutherford.

Absolutely brilliant........it's a real epic.

It's the history of Salisbury from the earliest time to almost present day.......kind of follows the family lines too through the ages.as far as I know I have no connection to Salisbury but it had me gripped. Have read the others too....but Sarum is by far the best imho xx

Kitchener's Last Volunteer: The Life of Henry Allingham

The Last Fighting Tommy: The Life of Harry Patch

I would recommend both of these. Henry Allingham is now the oldest man in the world.

Just finished the latest Nicci French - which are really written by a husband and wife team. They are Nicci Gerrard and Sean French, and they write psychological thrillers. Well worth a read. The long winter nights will just fly by
