I never get rid of any photos unless they're so blurry you can't see the faces. I label every photo because I don't want future generations to curse me. I have loads of old photos and I'm very lucky that my OH is quite good at restoring them. |

Mel just make sure, if you're the family photographer, that you are in some of the photos so that when you are long gone those great grandchildren can remember you. My OH takes all our photos and I have to insist that he is in some - especially the family groups. He now has a remote control for his camera:)) |

I have hundreds of photos in an old biscuit tin.Half are of people who I have no idea who they are. There is no-one left to ask now ,so I really should bin them. But there is something about throwing photos away.I feel as though I am throwing people out,and to think they are going to end up at the tip or on the bonfire really gets to me.BUT I have to be tough and do it.(I don't know when though) lol |

There really should be a site dedicated to unknown people and photographs where their faces live on forever. |

Like Rose I had a clear out of really bad photos I had taken of views, flowers etc that were not very good (film photos), many of my family photos pre digital I have scanned into the PC and copied onto discs. I have several albums of my Dad's photos he had a camera around 1930 and there are loads of small black and white. mostly not labelled but some I do know a few I don't including one of an elderly lady in an old fashioned invalid carriage with the large wheel in front. three wheel, the same as Sally's - maybe they were related Sally as I do not have a clue who she is!!! I keep meaning to send her photo to one of the magazines to see if anyone recognizes the poor old soul. |
