I used to get a penny per year so got a pay rise every birthday!! But I also had a comic bought for me every week, and, sometimes sweets too. (after rationing (I am a child of the 40s!) |

Allan remember listening to a transistor under bed covers kept fading out ( radio luxembourg ) I got in trouble if I was caught it was when all the Liverpool groups started yes 1964 I was 16 too . Anne. |

I had 2/6 off Mum and Dad, the same off my Nan & Grandad and Auntie Glad gave me 6d every Saturday on her way to balloroom dancing...the money lasted me for ages as I didnt like sweets or chocolate...strange child! |

Never got any pocket money off mum and dad but every Friday dad would get us a bar of choccy and a packet of Opal Fruits and an Arrow Bar. |
