In the last month I have one a large bottle of perfume, a dvd and a bottle of really expensive facial cleanser and I have to say I was highly impressed with the cleanser people as they sent me samples of their other products as well, not that I could ever afford the stuff.

Yipee I'm on a roll, two competition prizes today - a dvd and a water filter jug pack, and three prizes the other week.

I have never won a thing, although I went through a phase of entering lots of competitions.... hubby won a beach towel, and a sat nav.... which is useless, as it takes you the scenic route, every time.... a five hour journey would have taken us 80 days... we reckon the programmer had been watching that Jules Verne *round the world in 80 days* for inspiration! lol

Another parcel in the post today, a Nair (hair removal creams) prize pack from a magazine draw, oh well at least I can pretend it's a chrissie pressie for me.

Oh yes in November I won a magazine subscription, a quatro razor. sunscreen and after sun gel pack.

Cool three prizes in three days this week

- Taking Woodstock DVD
- Ice Car Cleaning Prize Pack (Turtle Wax etc) - except now I really do have to clean the car
- and today a big RenArt prize pack of stencils, bendy pens and aribrushes (some I'll keep some will go to nephews when their birthdays come around)

Many years ago I used to buy a paper called Competitors Journal, I don't know if you can still buy it. As well as having a few competitions in it it gave tips and advice on entering and winning prizes. I won lots of small things the biggest being a hamper of luxury food, it was just before Christmas but we were young and broke so we gave it to the in laws for their present.

I also won 'a pair of tights for every week of the year' all size small and all American Tan!! I am 5' 10'' tall with long legs!!

In the sixties there were loads more competitions in stores and supermarkets than there are now.
