We had a street party, with all adults and children having a great time. If I remember, the sun was shining - unlike today! |

I was 11 and we had recently moved to a newly built estate and all the families had a street party. I remember lots of discussion (most of it not very complimentary) about the dress! |

We didn't have a colour TV then, just black and white, so a neighbour kindly invited us round to watch the event on their set. |

I took my mum and sister and the kids off out strawberry picking for the duration!!! the kids were sick (from scoffing the fruit) and those berries that were left were unfit for freezing, which was the plan! The rest of the week most of us sat on the toilet! )))))) |

I spent 19 hours on duty, most of it in The Mall outside Clarence House. It was a lovely day and the crowds were great. |

I stayed in all day and watched it on TV. Two of the things that I remember was how creased Diana's dress looked, although she looked lovely in spite of this. The other memory was when the Royal Family were standing |

I was eight years old, we had a fantastic street party in our little cul-de-sac, the trestle tables spanned from almost one end to the other. The sun was shining and two of the younger kids in the street were dressed up as the prince and princess. We'd even tied little paper roses in all the hedges...I remember my mum making them. |
