Hi SRS , what made me ask was a thread re posting duplicate threads on different boards, I was thinking about a reply which said that for a 'newby' there wasn't a clear idea of the best board to post on for various queries. So I thought I would take a look at the Guidelines...which I probably did look at 3 years ago , but not since lol.

" 2. The Rules
Please don't communicate anything that is, or could be considered, abusive, vulgar, offensive or threatening – your behaviour must be polite, patient, and not intended to cause (or capable of causing) trouble or offence to other members.

Please don't communicate anything that could be considered obscene or pornographic.

Please don't use discriminatory language or images in your communications.

And, please don’t impersonate anyone.

Be aware that this is a public forum, and that member’s reputations are valuable to them – don’t communicate anything that is, or could be considered to be, defamatory, false, unreliable or misleading about any person, business or thing.

Don't post anything that infringes, or might be considered to infringe, anyone’s copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property rights – it’s easy to take material that belongs to others, but that doesn’t make it right.

Don't communicate material that deviates from the topic of the message board or chat room – start a new topic if you’d like to.

Don't submit the same – or similar – material more than once.

Don't use multiple log-ins.

Don't advertise.

Don't use the service for any business or commercial or charitable purpose, or to promote any alternative commercial service.

Use the English language.

Don't include an email address, postal address, phone number, the address of any website, or any other personal information about yourself or any other person in material that appears on the service – where your own personal information is concerned, this can be shared, should you wish, once direct contact has been made by another Member. This does not apply to the Records Office board.

Don't disrupt the normal flow of dialogue, cause a screen to scroll faster than other Members can type, or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other users' ability to communicate using the service. "

LOL NOT sure how to avoid that last one ?
