Hi all, first thanks Shimms for putting up yesterdays update, xxxx
Eddie is still very poorly, he has fluid on his lungs and l've never seen so much flem come out of one person !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ed did tell me off this morning when l arrived at the hospital because he said that l didn't visit him yesterday, when l explained l'd been with him for over 8 hours he did have a short laugh when l told him he's been on planet whatever for a few days. (bless him)
He still isn't really anything , managed 4 spoonfuls of soup at teatime so they got him one of those energy drinks and he is still having glucose through a drip and sips of water.
So even though he is still quite ill today has been better for both of us, he was even stroking my face and saying he wish l could give him a cuddle.
When l come in from the hospital and read all the messages that you lovely people on here leave me it really does help, honestly thankyou really doesn't seem enough but l do really mean it, THANKYOU, xxxxxx

Well it sounds as if ( hopefully ) your man has turned the corner . The trauma from that sort of thing can take a week or so to pass but if he seems a bit more " with it " today then that must be a good sign .

I bet he comes on in " leaps and bounds " now : )) ( not literally of course....lol ) , leaping and bounding will take awhile longer yet .

I hope that YOU feel a bit brighter as well . It has been like being in hell for you I should imagine.

Mummo, although he is poorly he does sound a bit better in himself, I hope he will continue to be a bit better each day. If you want a laugh you should read the panto thread on gen!!!

Yes he is still in intensive care and l do certainly feel better in myself today,
it just hurts when l see him laying there in so much pain but Ed and l will see this through.
Ann, when l have a spare minute l will read through the panto thread but as you know l have my bedtime reading ( Daff's thread), lol. xx

I think you will need more than a minute Lol!!!
It always hurts to see somebody you love in pain and not being able to do anything about it. I am sure you will both get through it together.

Yes did hear from the insurance people, they will send a voucher for me to go to a local shop to pick the carpet but will take at least 10 days.
Ok will see if l have a spare hour to read the thread, lol.

Mummo,you can just be there for him ,but also knowing he is in the best place,and day by day will get better.His injuries will be a slowly slowly process to get him back to good health again.
I don't think any of us realised at the time you put your thread up ,how serious his fall was .
