hello just got back from a lovely lunch The Aldi sells geese and they half the price of anywhere else and lovely their three bird roast is lovely from there too
tadpole had a few days off but he was in Durham when they made their closure public so he had to turn around again he has a long journey from crook so leaves very early to get there

Has LG's OH buried her under the new flooring! She hasn't surfaced for a while!

Our roads are clear now, although there are still some side streets that are 'risky'. Where Steptoe lives, there are community bungalows and the council has done nothing at all to help them. Most of them have to walk to the bus, so must be finding it very difficult. I have not been down this year as I do not visit now, but I have passed the long road leading down and it's not good.

I suddenly got motivated this morning and took my car to the jet wash, then came home and cleaned the inside and vacuumed it. It is looking smart now, but the sun went in half way through and it turned flippin' cold.

I am having next Friday and the following Monday off to use up my holidays, so am going Christmas shopping with a friend and having lunch out. Will go to Meadowhall if the snow doesn't return before then.

I will get myself a chicken for Xmas Day and cook all the trimmings! Not sure what we will be having at son's on Boxing Day. It will be a surprise! Am taking that for granted a bit, cos I haven't been invited yet!! Could come unstuck there!!

I've nabbed the throne and the title!!!!

morning all well here we go last week its the silly week with parties etc have finally got the cards written and can send most of them today .

Move over YG I'm back, how long for I am not sure though as I am having problems with the internet modem again LOL. It needs a good zapp with the laser methinks. Loads to do today so off into the wild blue yonder on the broomstick and fly around everywhere to get the jobs done. Hopefully I will be able to get this bloomin thing back on line later if I have any energy left. Have a good day one and all x

Morning (just)....been busy and took my car for it's MOT and to check out those wretched battery draining electricts. Started to give the kitchen a good clean, got out the sponge floor mop, put me back into it...and me back 'went'.! :-(

Bother the weather.........BBC and Met office say for us light snow Thurs and heavy snow Sat. Hope I can make it to the shops on Friday. If not, I'll send OH with PC to supervise. Evening all, yes we lost and in fact I missed watching the last bit of the game as I had a very welcome surprise visitor. My beloved SIL and her OH are up from Wales and called in, what a truly lovely surprise I love her dearly and miss her so much since she moved away. Made my day ! :-))))

morning all am watching the forcast again we have carol singing on friday night with supper dont want to get loads in and its cancelled .I am getting some bits for it today like plates and stuff but if i get normal stuff it will keep

We have sleet forecast for Thursday, but according to the BBC website nothing then at all up to Sunday, which is as far forward as they forecast locally.

I'm going to defrost the freezer this weekend and get some food in it!! It's only a small one but will keep me going for a few days. Just hope it doesn't spoil my outing on Boxing Day!

Just popping by.......the tablets are making me all fuzzy, but the movement has improved since yesterday. Can't see a major shop being undertaken tomorrow though. OH has been issued with a detailed list, and woe betide him if things get missed - lol

I think we're forecast for snow on Thursday. That'll be right ...........I'm booked to go out with friends from college for a Christmas lunch on Thursday. Looks like I might be going out in my wellies and woolly hat.
