Thanks ladies but I am lucky with my chemo, it's tablets so I can stay at home to take them. The first week has gone well.

Hi everyone, couldn't find this it was way down. I got my appointment yesterday for bone scan, it's on the 23 Dec, some Christmas present eh? This is the one where I have to lay flat for ages and can't walk, or in fact do anything much, for days after. Still, looking on the bright side, hubby gets the day off so he will finish a day earlier for Christmas, which by the way I haven't done any shopping for yet so could maybe do it when we leave the hospital.

Thinking of you ALL THE TIME Carole.

All WILL go well for you.
I hope you have a nice peaceful Christmas, and that the phone stays quiet and the door only knocks to announce the people you want to come in.
Rest is what you need love.
Will speak again after Christmas , when I hope you will be much better.

Tree up.....house straight... cards written and sent, late, but posted.
Love to you and Phil.

Just to say my thoughts are with you. I had tablet chemo once and found it much easier than the drip.

YorkshireCaz Report 20 Dec 2009 20:00

Hi Jean , yes the tablet is good but I had to stop it last time as it made my feet really sore, so much that I couldn't walk. They kept lowering the dose but the damage was done by then, I have started this lot on the dose I was on when I finished last time. It did work really well and my cancer count in blood went very low, hope it is the same this time. Thanks for thinking of me.

Hi Caz, shame about the scan, couldn't you have got it put off til after Christmas so you didn't feel poorly, surely another few days wouldn't make a lot of difference?

Glad I reminded you about your pills the other evening and hope things go ok for you, you have been on my mind but I don't like to keep calling.
Take care and hope you can still enjoy Christmas, both of you

love and hugs

Morning ladies, thanks for your wishes, it's so nice to think you are still behind me. Liz my oncologist wants to see me at the end of the first cycle of chemo, the 30th, he wants to check my feet, but he wants the scan first so he can see how much further it has got into my bones. My collar bone has got worse as the pain is awful at times.
Yes indeed, I was so glad you rang when you did or else I would have forgotten them completely, as it was it had gone well over the half hour so I had a bag of quavers and waited a while. I do forget tablets sometimes but they were chemo, don't worry about ringing, I get quite tired after tea but I will tell you if I don't want to talk for long.

We are snowed in, hubby can't get to work, one of his workmates was going to pick him and another lad up but he can't get his car out either. He has just gone on the bus to supermarket for as much as he can carry, we haven't got anything in for Christmas yet, and he still hasn't got my present as I don't know what I want. Talk about being behind, lol, trouble is with this flat, there's no space to store extra food and things.
I agree it was nice to see Lily, I have been thinking of her a lot lately.

Love Caz xx

I understand now about the scan, getting muddled from the info you gave me and the knock on the bonce lol

Caz. Just read this.
GOOD LUCK for your scan on Wednesday.
You didn't mention it when I spoke to you. Naughty lol

Well, you don't need to use the small kitchen as an excuse for doing nothing on Christmas day.

Wishing you and Philip a good one.

Sorry Vicky, I would have got round to it but Hubby came home didn't he, anyway I was more interested in your good luck. Got some more shopping this afternoon and he came home with a few pressies for me so it won't be so bad.

Half way through the second week of chemo and I am feeling nausious(?) now so going to lie down early. At least the last time I had chemo it started on the second day so I have been lucky so far with this lot.
