Have you seen the Xmas trees outside the back of BHS Rose? They looked lovely this morning with the snowfall we had then, with the lights twinkling. I might take my camera with me in the morning to see if i can capture it on film. I haven't had the chance to take photo's in the snow with my camera since I've had it.

I was thinking about it Susan , but I don't think there is enough light... I am a great one for rushing around taking photos of snow, trees, light effects...will maybe get up early and catch it at dawn :)

Do try for that Helen it will be pretty, there are two small conifers in the garden here and they look like the little snowy Christmas cake decorations :)

I like to have photos of my own making next to a poem I may have written......my son likes to do this too. We make them into books. Unpublished but in the family.

It is just like a secret garden Dizzi...or what was that book...'Tom's Midnight Garden' :)

That's a lovely idea Susan, and how special for family in the future :)

No snow yet here in darkest Essex.

I took some photos when we had the snow last Feb. I was quite suprised how well they came out. I think it was because they almost look black & white. So the contrast stands out.

I remember the 70s or 80s series of the secret garden. Especially for the title music played on the oboe......can't recall the title, but I can hear it now.

I have a photo somewhere of when it snowed very heavily in Kent about 1985 ish? of me standing in a swimsuit lol ...it was one of those silly dares :)

Hi Stevie, it is fascinating when you get contrast like that , i took a photo of the beach at sunset once in Wales and it came out black and silver.

I might actually pop downand take a photo now , just give it a try :)

Stevie Report 6 Jan 2010 00:21

Hi Dizzi,
Yes I did, its a lovely photo.

I do like during the winter months. When you see a tree with a street light behind it. How the branches appear to curl around the lamp.
