It isn't just the spilling of stuff down your front is it.......it always seems to happen with something you just washed and ironed!!

Christmas cake......I love scraping the spicy mix off the bowl. I don't make them anymore either. They take too long to eat up in our house.

Maureen, yes I still have the cross trainer and do use it more now my knees don't hurt on it, but not enough!! I love the motion of it, but 3 minutes is all I can manage too. It looks and feels easy, but soon gets you red in the face and out of puff!!! lol Mine does move easily.....I'm just not fit. lol

When i got a t shirt out of the draw the other day i found that i had ironed a Lady Bird inside !!!!!! one red blob stain !!!!!

and i hate it when you have taken the time and trouble to iron some thing only to find on the last bit that a bird has Poo'd on it !!!!!

i've got an Exercise bike .......i haven't used it for a while
.....it has a puncture !!! lol

That happens so often Mandy lol.It then get's chucked back in the washing pile again.Dirty birds!!

I shan't be throwing the bedclothes off tonight saying it is too hot!! Late night for me tonight.....used to be in bed by 9.00pm not long ago.

I take it have had a bad night with Mum?You will have to make sure you take some time in the day to have a nap or just a rest.
Lovely bright clear morning and quite fresh.Chris says rain is due later.I haven't seen the forecast so don't know if he was kidding.
I want to go to Sains**** in a bit.I picked up one of their recipe cards for spicy Anya Potatoes,and that is the only place I can get those potatoes.

Morning everyone.
Our Sains***ys is haveing a whole new refurbishment and has been closed since 6.00pm from last Wednesday, and won't open till 9.00 tomorrow morning, looking forward to shopping there on Friday evening when we do our weekly shopping, it is ment to be a much bigger shop. It takes OH and I about an hour to do our shopping normally, I expect it will take much longer on Friday because they will have changed the whole place.

Daughter no 1 just phoned have we found one of Sofia's trainers at our house, NO i replied, not surprised they can not find it. daughter has given up tidying away Sofia's toys etc, the minute there but in the bag or toy box there are just emptied out again. its probably behind a chair or cupboard which will need moving to get to it.

we have Sofia this afternoon and If it stays dry we plan to take her down to see the swans in the Park, its been a nice sunny bright cold morning, but as I look out the window now it's gone a bit cloudy.

We had rain in the night, but nice clear blue shk now, cold wind with it. Droping down to zero tonight. so will be cold.

Ros has put the cake away, each time I went into the kitchen last night I wanted a bit !!! Cake that is !!! I said she could fill the gap with marzipan and no one would notice. Like trying to get blood out of a stone !!!! needless to say I didn't get any.

I still get confused when I go to our tesc#, they altered all that around last year, and I still get lost. especially the sauce mix's and soups.

Might go for a walk and post a couple of letters later. Must take my stick, or I will get told off.!!! Whats different.!!!!

Hope Mum is OK this morning Mel,and that you can get a little rest later in the day. You must look after yourself, or else who's going to look after you.

I hope your son is much better these days. raining here and dark very gloomy phoned Beryl cannot go to her wedding it is on the same day I am taking April to see the ballet Cinderella. Beryl said she cannot change the date so having to opt out. Oh well the prospect of being a snowball did not really excite me. But it would have been fun or different.

It poured here in the night too, was sunny this morning and there's just been another downpour!!

OH got the last of the green tomatoes off the last plant today. Guess how many he said. There were over 200!! He's cleared all the greenhouse up for me and hoovered all through and cleaned the insects out of the glass lampshade in the porch. He is in my goodbooks today.........it won't last!!!
He is just like you Frank after the cake in the kitchen. If I cut a bit of burn off something......I'll have it he says!!

Fiona, when they did our Sains*burys out a couple of years ago, they handed out a guide showing where everything is, so you may get one too.

Sounds like you didn't get much sleep Mel, snatch a rest or nap when you can. You need to keep well with your hands full right now.

Well the rain is here now and seems to be getting heavier.I have just given Chester a shower with some Teatree dog shampoo to see if it will make his skin more comfortable.He has just conked out in front of the heater ,so should be dry soon.

Yes Jane, back safe and sound. My, didn't it rain this afternoon. It lashed down on the conservatory, had a job to concentrate on my book. It looks very cold out there now. The heating has just come on, so nice and cosy.

Nice bit of Roast lamb, for dinner tonight. Sprouting Broc. carrots and peas. Brussels for me, and Broard beans for Ros. Put a Rice pudding in about an hour ago. should be ready for 6.30pm. Don't I spoil her !!!! I will make someone a good WIFE some day. another good old un.!!!!

The book I'm reading at the moment have loads of East End slang in it. (back in my glory days.) me not the book. What do they say. You can take the boy out of ----------- But you can't take the --------------- out of the BOY !!!!!

I don't think we have had the rain as heavy as you or Ann and it now seems to have cleared.
Chester doesn't really smell sweet Frank,he now just seems to smell of wet dog !!!!!.I think I will have to give him a squirt of the doggy deodorant stuff,but I worry about his funny skin.

Have we not heard from Mel since early this morning?I hope it is not a bad day for her and being tired too.I think she said the Dr was bringing some liquid morphine for her Mum today.

Hi All, just want to say thank you all for your kind and loving wishes for Alfie. Took him to the vets this morning as he had about 6 fits yesterday and yes he is p**ing when he has a fit. I was fully prepared to come home with an empty pet carrier. The vet wanted to do some tests, MORE MONEY, but I'm sure that's not their prime reason for it. He took him off to do tests for a virus, kidney and liver, came back after five mintues to say he was putting up such a fight he would have to sedate him, MORE MONEY, so I had to leave him there. Meanwhile he has prescribed anti biotics and phenobarbital for the fits MORE MONEY, to cut a long story short, he has found no viral infections, nothing wrong with kidneys or liver so reckons its congenital. He says if the medications work then he should be ok, if not, well we will be back where we started and I think poor Alfie has been in the last chance saloon too many times. I won't say how much this little lot has cost but if he is okay it will have been worth it.
