Hmm might try that for OH. I usually buy a pack of mixed fish in Mo**isons for his fish pie. It always looks nice but I don't like salmon or pollock. I like smoked haddock so perhaps I could do it with just cod as I like that and perhaps a bit of smoked haddock too. I do used Philea for cheese sauces for a quicky mix.

What a fantastic film.It was brilliant.If you all get the chance to see it ,do go.
I think that should get loads of awards.

Anne it is good to hear someone else who hates dusting /housework.I always have good intentions but for some reason I always seem to find something else to do instead lol.

Tomorrow is dentist day .I have the Hygienist and James has a check up.I have just bought us a new toothbrush each to have a good scrub up before we go lol.Not to say I don't look after my teeth.I do ,but my brush has gone a bit soft,and heaven knows what Jame's brush is like .

Baked potatoes tonight,but no point in me putting them in yet as no-one will be in until later.

Yes the film was absolutely fantastic!!

Speaking of which, if you haven't already seen it (Jane will love it!!) The Bone Collector is on Channel 5 at 9.00pm is very good!! lol

Thank you for the recipe Ann, I have saved it and will try it next week....it does look less fattening as you say. Anything that helps!! I'm with you on the dusting/cleaning front. I keep saying 'less is more'.........less things out to dust, more time for enjoying myself!! lol

What a lot of busy bees you have all been today.
I was up showered and shaved and Ros took me out to town, after first droping off a sample at the doctors for my stones !!!

Went to M & S to spend a B'Day voucher, bought new pants, 15 pairs !!!!
Ros had her spec. adjusted at Specsave#s Went for a haircut. I walked in and my young lady said "WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE" My hair was so long and blown all over the place. I asked for an estimate !!! She soon knocked it into shape. Did the tesc# run, then onto a local pub for two for a tenner. the time you add a couple of drinks and extra's it turns into £20.00 but very nice.

Mel, I know that song so well, and remembering singing that as a child. You certainly brought it back to mind. I bet I will be huming that all evening. THANKS!!!

No downer today, in fact i'm light headed after my haircut. and all my grey hair has gone. look 45 again !!!! No comment from you know who !!!

Jane , Ann , So glad you both enjoyed the Kings Speech, I was on the edge of my chair when Bertie was saying his war speech, I remember watching other films with the kings speech in and thinking why did he speak so slow, now it's good to know the full story behind the voice.

I will pop in tomorrow to say goodmorning before I go up to the cemetery, then maybe not be on till later as daughter no 1 & Sofia will be down in the afternoon.

Dull and grey here so no change. The ground is so wet the water was sortof running over the top yesterday.

Another thing I have'nt had many birds on the table or seen much of my Robin's. Or is it just that I have'nt been out if I don't have to.

That pick thing that the Hygienists uses to get in between the teeth reminded me of the thing I use to get the weeds out from between the paving stones !!!

I have a piece of Brisket in the slow cooker.I haven't had Brisket since I was a child when Mum did it.My friend says it is delicious done this way so I thought I would give it a go.

It is dull and so mild.I have been out with no coat or cardi ,just a brushed cotton top.

Have sorted through all my old pants. Still have over 30 pairs plus the new ones. Found packs that hadn't been opened Likewise with socks, at least 40 pairs, all sizes and colours. 40 plus handkerchiefs. All white most with "F" in the corner. Have just put out to the Jumble over 60 ties 10 vests/sweat shirts.Belts, I got to do my shirts next. thats another day.

Ros has got the sheets blowing on the line. They will be dry in no time.


Doing a roast chicken tonight, with Roasts and veg. might do a B & B pudding as the oven will be on.

Afternoon all

just had a quick lunch with OH as he had to go back to work, and now relaxing and waiting for daughter no 1 & Sofia to come down and that will be the end to my relaxing day, But I wouldn't have it any other way .

The weather here was dull but dry until about 11.00 when we were waiting for the minister to arrive he was 10mins late and just as he arrived the rain came on and the wind picked up actually I think it was sleet. so it was very cold standing at the graveside but all went well and dad is now with mum in his final resting place.
Just as I speak now the sun is trying to get through the clouds.

FRANK , you have been busy with your undies, so many pants, & socks, all that clearing out, lots of space now to fill up again.
Doesn't it feel good when you have a clear out, and everything is put back neat & tidy.
unfortunatly our drawers & cupboards only stay tidy for a few days as when you go looking for something they are all messed about again.
Good for Ros able to get sheets on the line it seems ages now that I had any washing drying outside.
