Hi Shirl,

Glad to see you back. Must be Bloo#y cold out there, we don't know we are born. My aunt who lived out there use to say, they barricaded themselves in the the bad winter months. Stocked up with everything. and didn't go out.

It hasn't been the best couple of days, but hopefully it's all over now. Have got the bed all turned down, and nightdress ready, in case she wants to go straight to bed. But knowing her she will wants to sit and watch T.V.

I don't whether I'm coming or going lol.Chris rang to say I have to pick up ,so I started taking things out of the oven .Then he rang back to say no it's fine he can do it.So everything is back in again.
Mandy I don't think it is cold here,in fact I'm boiling.Could be something to do with the oven and the heating though lolol.I just let Chester out for a wee wee and it is pouring!!!!
I think I might have a glass of wine now.

I have just realised I haven't heard from the Gas man about the new condenser.I will wait till mid day tomorrow and then chase him up.

What a bummer, I was just about to leave, when the phone rang. It was Ros to say,they wouldn't let her out tonight as she is still on a drip. So Conrad will come over first thing tomorrow and we will go and collect her.
She said she was starving, and looking forward to a nice meal. !!!! I'm just going to warm it through, and have mine.

Frank ,that's a shame,but just think on the plus side.You can have the bed all to yourself for one more night.Have you got another bottle of Red????
I think Ros probably went down a bit late to theatre to be able to get home tonight........Double helpings for you then lol

Well I just had a laugh.Chris had an EMail from some Ukrainian person looking for fun with a mature man !!!!!!.......I said he hasn't had an offer like that in a long time lol.Where did that come from????

NO, no more RED. will have to make do with my sleeper tonight. Dinner was very nice. Half left, but I doubt she will want that tomorrow. Will think of something else.

Conrad is going directly to the hospital, to save me having to go out. He will make sure she get home allright. I told him to get a Wheelchair and watch out for my mate!!!! the porter.

Watching football tonight which I wouldn't have been able too had Ros been here, Yes, bed to myself again. Might be better she's not here in case I turn over a catch her tummy. That would cause trouble.

Frank, you will waiting with open arms for Ros in the morning.Have a good kip tonight xx

I went out at about 11.20 this morning so thats why I have'nt been around today.

We had my farmhouse pie for dinner with pasta tenderstream brocc and garlic bread. Always a winner with OH.

Liz hope you had a nice day today and glad that Ian is up and about. Bet Merlin wondered what all the cleaning was about or does Ian usually do a good clean and disinfect anyway?

It's been drizzly here most of the day, that really mucky weather that makes you all wet and you don't notice till you sit down and suddenly you have cold knees and find they are soaked through.

Hi Gang, I'm a real early bird today. Frank I'm so glad that Ros had her op, fingers crossed that will do the trick, what with her bad back and now this, makes you feel that someone doesn't like you!!! WE DO!!!! Yesterday turned into a complete nightmare!!! went in to see OH, who was very pleased to see me, so far so good! he's in quite a lot of pain, but today they are taking the drain in side out, which should make him much more comfortable , he hopes to come out either tomorrow or Friday. I went back to my car, and would the b.....y thing start? would it hell!! to cut a long story short, I had to get the RAC out (lucky we belong!) and a really lovely chap came,but he couldn't get it to go either! it fired up but stopped immediately! He thought the immobilizer had jammed on, but in in the end, it seemed that fuel wasn't being pumped through as the plugs were comletely dry! anyhow, I had to be towed home 40miles! When we got back, Chap decided to try once more, and, you won't believe this, the hateful thing fired up and I drove into the drive as if nothing had happened!!! what do you all make of that?!!!! so God knows what the problem was/is. luckily some friends fed Merlin, but today I've got to get it to a garage to get them to check it out before I dare go out again! I think I shall remember this birthday for sometime!!! Must go and have a shower and see to Merlin! Talk later.

What is it with people in hospital, the phone rang at 7am after struggling to get out of bed to get to the phone. IT STOPPED. did 1471 called back no reply. about 8am it rang again it was ROS.. "I DIDN'T REALISE THE TIME WHEN I RANG" so put the phone down. thought you might be having a lie it. NO CHANCE!!!!! She sounds very chirpy this morning, had her breakfast, and is now waiting for CONRAD. hope he isn;t to late.

Have made the bed, will hoover through and tidy up, not that I have made a mess !!!!! Not like you woman

OH Frank, that Ros is checking up on you lol you'll be pleased to have her back home , when hubby was in hospital i couldn't seem to settle to do anything and the hours seemed to really drag by .

Liz what a time for the car to break down. Poor you and when your waiting for someone time drags so. As Frank said sods law that it should happen while you are on your own. I had a picture of you being towed all the way home when I read your posting.
Hope Ian feels a little less uncomfortable today but any surgery will still be swollen and bruised for a while I suppose and the drain does a good job.

Frank it is good that Ros sounds chirpy this morning and you shall her her back today where you can keep an eye on her. I know you will wait on her hand and foot and spoil her as usual.
Give her my wishes please.

Dull here again today and it has been raining in the night.

Those drains can pull ,I bet he will feel much better when that is out Liz.

I bet Ros was champing at the bit to get home.I wonder if she is there yet.
Mandy my floors need a jolly good clean,but it is a mucky day here so I may leave them another day.(any excuse) lol

I asked Ros if she would like a nice brunch when she got home, NO NO NO.. My weetabix was plenty for breakfast, and I will onlt want very small meals from now on. So that will save a few bob. Will start giving her child portions.

Liz glad Ian is feeling a little better this morning. get him home in his normal surroundings, and I'm sure that will help in his recovery. I can see us all turning into "NURSE JANE" and DR CHRIS"

I've got the kettle on, waiting to make a nice pot of tea, for when she comes in,. should be anytime now. !!!!

Frank Hope Ros is home now and feeling better. Its always a good feeling when you get home after a hospital stay.
I am glad Ian is recovering and he will be much happier once the drain is out.
I have a horrible sore throat today and a stuffed up nose ugh. Thought I had escaped bugs this winter but its not to be. Still no panto this evening as we have to give the children a break, so I can stay indoors and drink lots of hot drinks ( and maybe some red wine later MUST be good for colds)
Its pouring with rain here and seems cold. I think the heating will be on again soon.
Liz how considerate of the car to break down at such a time, typical of a machine. Guess with that and Ian you should celebrate an unbirthday later in the year when you can enjoy it!!
As both hubby and I have winter birthdays we have an unbirthday BBQ in the summer and its great fun.

Back again! feel less shattered! yes Jane, the car passed its MOT last week!! You could say we're not on speaking terms!!!! As you say Frank, it could be a blocked filter or something more dire. We shall wait till Ian gets home and take it from there! Nice neighbours going in to see Ian this afternoon, and even nicer neighbours collecting him tomorrow or next day to bring him home. Everyone has been SO kind, so we shall get there!!! Agent rang this am, a couple of couples are very interested in the house, one lot coming back on Saturday to have another look, so we shall see. Not quite sure where we will be going though!!!! Ians birthday is in July so will have to have MY birthday then as well!!!! Glad Ros is chirpier, do hope she feels better. All this illness, what a winter it's being!

I am having a lovely afternoon doing some family history research on hubby's family and drinking lots of tea. Don't feel any worse so hopefully my day at home will cure the cold.
Have just put some mince in the oven and off to make a rhubarb crumble as I feel the need for a treat and I found the rhubarb in the freezer when I emptied it the other day
