Lynne, I am so sorry to hear your news, but as you said, she is with your dad now, and no more pain and suffering. My sincere condolences at your loss. It is so hard to watch someone suffer so much, and even harder when they are no longer here. She is at peace.

H ello good news im sure, she says i have lots of noduels which are nothing to worry about , she couldnt find the little lump that was very mobile she wants to see me in 2 weeks to see if its hormonal changes which im sure it is and said she will keep an eye on things in the next few months but she feels that there is nothing to worry about.

thankyou all for caring, you know when i found the lump it didnt worry im prone to cysts but on the way there i was terrified i was having to controll my breathing lol, i realise im very lucky xxxxx

Pollypoppet and Lynne, my thoughts are with you both.

Puss, hopefully everything will be ok when you go back for your checkup.

I have a checkup on 16 July at the colposcopy clinic as they are monitoring me cos of several abnormal smears and last year when I went there was some cell changes so going back again for a biopsy. Even with all the numbing stuff they sprayed on me it still hurt. Hopefully everything will be ok and if it has changed again they are going to get a telling off from me, I don't like that I have had to wait 12 mths. I should have been put on 3 or 6 mthly visits.

How is everyone?

Cold and rainy here in NZ this morning. Wish I was at home with the fire on rather than at work : -)

Thank you all for your replies.

I thought I would be getting stronger by the day but still find myself crying.

I wonder if anyone knows a poem or a website I could look on for the local newspaper I have found one from me but I m so tired and cant find one from my children to their Nan, just a short verse, I need by 3pm today. I hope this makes sense I have a job at the moment remembering my own name.

Thank you all

sorry lynne its the fi9rst time ive logged on here today hope you found one, its such a hard time for you atm im not surprised at how your feeling, just keep telling your self your darling mum is in a pain free world now xxx

Just had some unexpected news, we went to see a consultant or so we thought last week re dads future treatment we didnt expect any as he was told it was a curartive operation, but then it was found it had spread to the lymph node, so the consultant said he would start dad on radiotherapy as a precaution so we left ok with that decision today they saw the oncollogist thinking it would be to explain to mum and dad how his treatment would be and where.
dad has to have 6 lots of chemo and radiotherapy in the queen elizabeth so that is the next step

Puss,

Hope your dad will be ok and that the treatment will be successful.

Lynne, don't push yourself to be stronger by the day. It is ok to grieve. Cry as much as you like, I do, I feel like I cry all the time. Hope you found a lovely poem. Sorry I didn't see your message earlier I would've loved to have helped.
