I looked at that one Choccy...and I think you're right...just thinking about it if he had died in Bromley, he would not have been taken to Guys...but certainly would in Southwark! |

You could take a look here ? The Southwark local history library...but you need an address... I would just take a chance on the cert' as Choccy says |

I have searched too 2 years either side of 1923 and the Southwark one is the strongest possibility. On the strength of this I would certainly buy the certificate. |

I see that St Stephen at Walworth Common was a Mission. Alfred John's grandfather William John Ball 1826-1919 was a City Missionary. Maybe he was baptised by his grandfather? Does it say? Jim |
