Now, we have found out what irritates you, how about tiny things that make you smile, or feel good about the world.

Mine, and I know it's sadly not quite PC for a fella to post about little ones, I just love it when a little girl is just that - all natural.

Happy days

I love it when I smile at a stranger when walking to and from the shops and they smile back.

Or when I get a big beaming smile from a baby who I don't know.

Or when a teenage boy or girl holds the door open for me to go through with a smile. (It happens).

I agree with the previous two posters. Also for me, being an ardent gardener, the first shoots in spring, not just the bulbs, but things that have been in the ground all winter, through all the bad weather like we had last year, and that feeling of satisfaction when you know they have made it through.
Lots of others, so will probably come back and post again.

After holding onto the dream of moving here ( IOW) for 16 years, to wake up in the morning to the sound of herring gulls makes me grin, even when I'm half-awake!

Gerry bear you could be in the centre of Gloucester to awake to the same sound Lol!!!

Herring gulls in Gloucestershire?! No wonder the numbers in the UK are decreasing - not a lot of fishing or shellfish in your county! We certainly didn't get them in Surrey - only the squawk of black-headed gulls, who loved the reservoirs and the rubbish tips, almost on a par with feral pigeons.

The unexpected smile of recognition, especially from a child, but also sadly from our loved ones with dementia. Just a small spark of recognition means so much.

Spring days too, new life new starts.

The smell of fresh cut grass.

seeing children from different continents all getting along together even when they cannot speak each others llanguage.

Waves crashing onto the beach

The stars on a clear night
The soft soft skin of a newbourn child

Elderly people holding hands as they walk out together

That special look that passes between people who are in love.

No Gerrybear, not herring gulls, just the screech of literally hundreds of ordinary gulls (yes probably black headed, not very good on gulls) they all sound the same to me. Dirty people who leave takeaway rubbish and the proximity of the tip encourage them, but they nest on the roof tops now and nothing that is done gets rid of them. But I admit gulls always sound different near the sea!!! (We do have the Severn estuary!!!) I.O.W. nice.

Dear Harry

Hello

Hope you are okay.

Well, my list includes seeing a vivid sunset, where the sky looks as though an artist has used different colour shades to produce a masterpiece.

Watching a favourite film.

Seeing the emergence of spring.
Absolutely wonderful.

Oh and please and thank you!

Take gentle care
Very best wishes

A cooling breeze on a hot day.

Squeals of laughter from children playing in a park or schoolground.

Listening to/watching my grandson (aged 34 months) talking. He has a very soft voice and a lovely little lisp. I want to eat him!!!

...needless to say he's not quite the same for mummy and daddy. Apparently he's very loud!! LOL

Having my 8 year old grand daughter over to stay - we do nothing in particular - just 'chill'. I light a fire, just for her to watch.

My lovely daughters - just seeing them gives me a warm glow.

Walking through the New Forest, following the horse paths.

My cats welcoming me home from work. For cats, they're very well behaved, affectionate and non-aggressive (unless you're a bird, vermin or another cat!)
