I had booked marked it last year when I put on the poem that I read out at my Mum's funeral but thanks again.

You must have a lot to do and it was thoughtful to update your post.

Thank you everyone for your loving thoughts. The funeral has been arranged for a week on Monday, and his ashes are being placed in a tree stump in the woodland walk at the local cemetary, instead of being scattered.

Hubby finally managed to put words onto paper in the early hours of this morning and has written a beautiful poem. I will put it on the "Remember Me" thread on the General Board.

I've just read your husbands poem on 'General', and it's wonderful. Brought a tear to my eye as I lost my father in law 7 months ago and still miss him dreadfully. Thank you for sharing it with us.
