I'm writing something and I can't think of a word! I am looking for a word to describe a couple who are civil to each other but totally indifferent... a marriage of convenience... something to describe the 'coldness'?

any ideas please?

I have cheated and looked at an online Thesaurus/Dictionary...

uncaring attitude, lack of interest
Synonyms: aloofness, coldness , coolness, detachment, disinterest, dispassion, disregard, dullness, emotionlessness, halfheartedness, heedlessness, indifference, insensibility, insensitivity, insouciance, lassitude, lethargy, listlessness, passiveness, passivity, stoicism, unconcern, unresponsiveness

Functional?

Rambling Report 6 Mar 2011 23:22

I’m feeling apathetic when it comes to writing prose
There are lots of words on offer being waved under my nose
But I have no time to spare so I’ll have to be pragmatic
And turn my nebulous thoughts into something more dramatic!
