In reply to nickydownsouth.. susan had a sister called elizabeth b.1824 in doddington essex so theres a big possibility that she did marry a johns and have a child called emily .. and i see you found a possibiity for 1851 which would be about right as she wouldof been about 27 at the time ..also i see u list susan as having 3 children in the ongar work house, i have only ever been able to link her with two children .. elizabeth and ernest ...but no emily, is there a birth record for her? or does it say the relationship between susan and emily on the census? i have been unable to find out any of this so im very pleased thnk you very much indeed .. |

Think theres a good chance that Elizabeth Susan Weal is the daughter of Susan Weal born c1839 Doddinghurst Essex, daughter of James and Susan in the 1851 I posted above. |

THANKS FOR ALL UR REPLIES ... I HAD TO RUSH AWAY FROM MY PC EARLIER .....THEIR NAMES WERE THOMAS WEAL AND ELIZABETH SUSAN WEAL ... HIS FATHER IS NAMED AS JAMES WEAL FROM DODDINGHURST AND IVE ONLY BEEN ABLE TO TRACE RECORDS OF ONE OTHER JAMES WEAL BORN THE SAME YEAR ... I DIDNT KNOW I COULD VIEW THE ORIGINAL CERTS WITH SIGNITURES ON . .THIS IS A GOOD IDEA .. HOW DO I DO THAT? |

Don't forget that they would often give the same address even if they weren't actually both living there - something to do with fees possibly, if one really lived in a different parish. |

The address may be the same which is handy but like nickdownsouth says is it the same street or same area and have you traced the amrriages of the uncles and their siblings |
