Jude - is it the 'Mother and Child' print? If so it's beautiful. What is the connection with your grandmother and father?

Gwyn.......l have a few drawings and canvas oil print on canvas the kids got me some yrs ago, also some pamphlets(sp) and a book all about him:o)). The pamphlets are from exhibitions and sales of his work:o))..as it happens originals don't sell very well now, but its the sentimental value to me, so copies are fine, just seeing pictures of my grandmother is fantastic. Did'nt know her as she died in Russia in childbirth:o((...did'nt know g/father either:o((
l also have 2 of his sons (Phillip), who was also a fantastic artist:o))

PS...she died in Ireland not Russia...dohhh

Wonderful keepsakes.
No wonder you are thrilled and proud too, I guess.

I'd love to see a photo of my great grandmother, who was so important in my Mum's life.
We know there was a large photo of her and great grandpa, which hung in the cottage, but what happened to it is anyone's guess.
Grandpa was at my parents' wedding, but his wife was long gone, by then.

One day...................

That one thing to put on my CV now, I've lunched with Bernard Meninsky's granddaughter. :-) :-)

So pleased for you

And what a classic example of the style of the time it is.

"He published Mother and Child: 28 Drawings in 1928"

I hope you can continue to collect more of the family's work!

-- have you seen the couple of works by Philip on ebay now?
