Hayley.... What's your secret ?

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 5 Aug 2013 22:11

Paula, I will be 65 in November - no apologies needed.

I will keep trying to loose weight, checking every friday morning.
Just didn't want to report such a small loss (or gain :-( ) each week.

Have increased my activity level, but if I overdo it, can be off my feet (well almost) for a couple of days. Only able to move around by holding onto furniture etc.

I will not give up!!!

Hayley,
what a great weight loss.

I am hoping to loose a little more than you. I know that maintaining casn be difficult, but keep trying to imagine what it willbe like to cart 30+ lbs. around with me all the time.

Well done you! :-)

Well done Ann with 9lbs gone you should be able to see and feel a difference.

Isn't it great when other people notice too.

AnnC You are doing fantastic, <3 <3 <3
I am on day sixteen of the Squat Challenge, today is a rest day so I have started the Plank Challenge. These challenges are not about dieting (although a healthy diet helps) its all about toning your body, and I have to say I am enjoying them (so far)

Good luck for tonight

:-D

Week 2 so second weigh in. I lost 1lb so now 3 in 2 weeks. I am a bit disappointed as I thought I had had a really good week.

I went for my induction at Curves gym on Monday and sign up today for my first session. I would like to reduce my body fat percentage if I can.

Since my lovely husband died I am very aware that I need to look after myself as nobody else will. My family are in England. So basically I just want to stay fit and healthy.

Good luck to everyone else.

Slowly slowly catchy Monkey TS, have a look at a lb of butter and then see how much weight you have lost, keep with it you are doing great. I am a great believer in excercise :-D

Tenerife Sun Report 7 Aug 2013 12:49

Home from my first session in the gym. Feel great with a few aches from under used muscles which will get less the more I do. I was weighed and measured and given a target of 4 kilos, about 8.8ils to lose this month!! I think this is too much but we will see.

The pound of butter is a good tip Hayley as it is pure fat.

Thank you Paula

Dame Shelly I too do my own eating plan and just needed to be pushed into more exercise, And my friend just gave me that push. Curves are all over place they are franchised and for women only although run by a husband and wife team . One of them is working with you all the time and making sure you are doing everything right. Normally I am not a gym person as I prefer classes with everyone working together but I think I may change my opinion soon. I'll let you know after my first month is up.

The best bit is the coffee and gossip afterwards :-D

Hi Ladies,

Well done on all the weight losses, and the maintains and belated happy birthday wishes Hayley :-D

We have just got back from a holiday in Devon. Hopefully I will be the same or slightly over. I normally put on at least half a stone on holiday so here's hoping for less than that at weigh in tomorrow.
We did a lot of walking and Devon is very hilly, especially to some of the beaches.

I will pop in tomorrow with an update

I have a friend who lots loads of weight and then slowed down. She goes to a Ladies only gym, the workouts are very short, 30 minutes I think and she is getting really good results toning up :-D

Morning laddies well done to those of you that have good results.

Today is going to be a hard day, as most of you know it was my birthday yesterday and it is another colleagues today who is in the same team, one of the reason I decided to diet earlier this year is because I notice I had began to eat for fun, I work in an office and there is always goodies about, biscults cake choc and so on, I can not have just 1 choc roses or 1 jaffa cake I put one in my mouth and then need 1 for each hand as I am walking back to my desk. I was getting to greedy. Yesterday I took in goodies and also my colleague did, but I resisted as I have since the start . Today is a office buffett, I have tried to avoid these but people notice if you dont get involved and think you are sulking or something. I dont eat bread now either :-( so I have took part but refrane from filling my plate. For anyone that has kicked an addiction, facing cakes and such goodies to me is the test of my strongest will power, people say " a little bit or 1 won't hurt " well actually it may if I let chco melt on my tongue one more time or the lovely sweet taste of cake I'm a goner... so which me luck :-|
