Good to hear you have had a bit of a restful day Michael. Seems like your wife shares your sense of humour as well. Keep smiling you two. Hope you have a decent sleep and will enjoy your visitors tomorrow. x x

Lovely to hear you have had some rest today Michael and I am from East End. I can also remember the horse and cart delivering the coal. One day the horse got freaked out and bolted, the cart turned over and coal was thrown all over the street. I have never seen so many neighbours out with shovels to feed there roses lol xx

Your wife sounds a gem Michael, unlike your d.i.l. It's nice that you have your son with you, and he and you can support each other. I expect his wife is jealous you are getting attention, how pathetic she is. Reminds me of my s.i.l', who cancelled her wedding to my brother when my dad was ill, said she thought it would be too much for him to attend the wedding but really it was because she wouldn't be the centre of attention. They rearranged the ceremony for some months after my dad passed away, close to his birthday. Big top hat and tails do, (she had been married before and had a daughter and they had a son between them who was best man at the age of 8, how daft) I didn't go on principle, not many rellies went either and my Mum only went because she felt she had to.

Make sure you do get some rest when you can but watch those 'stranglers' who are visiting lol they sound ok tho if they are helping you set up your tablet.

Take care

I will delete if you wish.....but after reading some of the posts berating family members and taking into account this thread could or will be read by those left behind......I wondered at the tone in which posters who know nothing of the other people apart from what has been told them.....also.....Is this the legacy that is wished upon those left behind?.....the running down of those who at the moment cannot reply, but may see what is said about them in the future......nobody deserves to be slagged off in print and on the internet where all can read.....or be part of the legacy.......Think on when you write.......I will delete if the owner of the thread asks me to.

EDIT:......this post had been RRed but now re-instated

Hi Michael, I can't remember just what I wrote yesterday now, I didn't say anything untoward as far as I recall but obviously someone took offence altho as you say, if it doesn't offend you it shouldn't matter.

I am glad you are resting between visitors and also that you are making plans to do things, and get out. Your son is a good 'un, hope he feels better soon and can continue to be a support to you and to your wife.

Have lots of fun with the grandchildren when they visit.

Just creeping in quitely Michael in case you are resting .......

Thanks for your reply to my question about being a 'market man'.
I recognised in your writings that your sense of humour was similar to what I have been listening to all my life as a born and bred Londoner :-D

As you said you lived in South and East London for Thirty years I now think of you as an Honorary Cockney! :-D :-D

Glad to hear that you are relaxing more and hope all goes well with the visit from your niece. :-)
