David Report 24 Sep 2017 14:53

Debbie used to be a ballet dancer and she kept herself in trim working with Paul.

Ah that makes sense. She is very supple. Good for her!

Couple of plodders in the mix this year, wonder how long they will last?

MotownGal Report 30 Sep 2017 09:19

Second show tonight, and the first when someone is voted off.

Not withstanding I think it may be either Brian or that Chef. (name escapes me) the others are too keen.

Cant wait to see Debbie again. <3

Mersey Report 30 Sep 2017 09:28

I am looking forward to it!! :-D

Simon Rimmer is the chef :-D

I didn't think Ruth should have been at the bottom of the points board a few others where worse although can't see her lasting that long....hark at me thinking I'm Arlene Phillips because I can't remember the new judges name :-D :-D ;-)

Annx Report 30 Sep 2017 15:42

Looking forward to seeing Debbie again too. She needs to keep her head up and drop her shoulders a bit though, but what fantastic shape she is in and such supple legs and high kicks she can do. It's good to see her, and her hubby Paul would be proud of her.

Saw a report that Ruth has had to miss a practice session due to "injury"

MotownGal Report 30 Sep 2017 17:30

Can we all listen very intently please????

That new judge Shirley sounds just like someone else on the tv. I heard it the first time she was on.

I even sit there with my eyes closed to concentrate on the tone of her voice.

Who the heck does she sound like?

TELL ME!!!!!!

<3 <3

Rambling Report 30 Sep 2017 20:15

I think it might be Lesley Joseph ( as Dorien) ? The accent is different but the tones and speed of the speech is about the same?

on reflection it could be Lulu when she's pretending not to be Scottish, ? In this case Wallasey trying to be less Wallasey :-)

BrendafromWales Report 30 Sep 2017 21:40

She sounds and looks, a lot like Arlene Phillips to me.She tends to mark higher than some of the others.
.Arlene is from Manchester and went to the High School I went to.
I really liked the paso doble that Alexandra did.
Debbie was good.I believe she had been a ballet dancer and was for 3 years artistic director of her own ballet company so maybe that's why she is so supple?

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 30 Sep 2017 22:20

Do you know, it could be Arlene Brenda. That flow of her speech pattern is very distinctive. I thought it could have been someone from Corrie, but it is rattling the life out of me. I was concentrating more on her, than some of the dancing!!

Debbie was a dream, it was effortless. Good on her, it makes me feel good inside to see her dancing so well. I think David said she was a ballet dancer for years.

Alexandra was very good, but I think a lot of the others were very lacklustre.

I do wish Tess would stop shouting all the time. She repeats what the judges have said, only louder.

Time will tell tomorrow, but I still stick by my original two. I don't think the Rev will be going anywhere fast.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 1 Oct 2017 09:51

MTG yes agree could be Brian and the Chef in the dance off. The Rev has too much of a following. Loved the song the chef chose but he is not a dancer or even a prospective one. How about those 9s in week two though? Wow!

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 1 Oct 2017 13:03

The judges imo are not consistent in their voting, say some
dancer were not good but gives them a good score.
Greg to me is the only one who says it straight and votes the same way.

Tess should remember she is not a judge but a presenter and as for the
noise up stairs after the votes it is putting me right off this show.

AnninGlos Report 1 Oct 2017 14:37

Craig??? Emma?

Lol I thought I had Missed another judge!!

Tabitha

Tabitha Report 1 Oct 2017 17:30

I too spend all my time trying to work out who she sounds like, I will get it eventually - it usually does.

I dont trust her - one little bit.

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 1 Oct 2017 17:34

Ann I do that so many times OH gets frustrated with me :-D

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 1 Oct 2017 18:59

Annoying isn't it Tabitha? I am not paying attention to WHAT she is saying, just WHO she sounds like. I reckon I will wake up in the middle of one night, and it will come to me, but in the meantime.............GRRRRRRRR!

I am getting slightly annoyed with one of the contestants already, too much to say! I also wish they would cut down on the frippery before they dance ie. what they have done that week. All that faffing about dancing in a football ground. Just get on with it.

Not long now until we find out who is going to pack their dancing shoes into their little bags.
