It's said the sister set him up . She doesn't get along with Meghan and sounds almighty jealous

Her dad seems to be a quiet reclusive man and maybe just can't face all the attention , he would be very concerned he would get things wrong and wouldn't want to embarrass himself or Meghan in front of millions or the royal family

Would think all round this wedding would be very daunting for him , he has had heart scares too

I thought he wouldn't do it in the first place so not surprised now he has said ,"cant do it "

As far as I am concerned it is none of our business and even less the business of the media. The BBC made it the top story on the 6 pm news!! How sad is that.....!

Would a commercial airline be willing to fly him? The last thing they’d want is a medical emergency diversion.

I just hope that Harry and Meghan enjoy their very special day . I think is so sad now that all this **** is happening . :-(

Saturday is probably where they will lose what's left of their privacy :-P

If one of the families involved was not Royalty, none of this would crack a mention!

Whatever happens from now on, unfortunately the Markle family are always going to be on the paparazzi radar.

Possibly some less than scrupulous family members will also view it as a way of making a fair amount of money.

Those of us who are not high born need to ask ourselves how our own dad would cope with meeting the queen socially and doing the church bit in front of millions.

With difficulty!! Have to admit that I'm not that interested in it, but it's certainly been handled badly by everyone concerned and been turned into a bit of a circus. Prince Harry and his intended are well into their thirties, hardly children, so I would have thought they would have handled the potential problem of the father of the bride with a bit more common sense and sensitivity.

There is an ex sister in law and her son coming to England for the wedding without an invite through Good Morning Britain as Richard Madeley invited them the other week on air talking to them both in USA.

Richard Madeley said He would get them both into Windsor so we will see if that happens.

Don't know if Good Morning Britain is paying for their plane tickets and accomodation while they are over here.

But as I said We will have to wait and see..

and now it seems that her father is in hospital having tests, and may need surgery tomorrow (Wednesday).

poor man ................ and poor Meghan.

It also seems that the ex sis-i-l and her 2 sons (+ the girl friend of one of them) will also be reporting on the wedding for ABC news

It seems as if the family is already trying to make money out of Meghan ............... the British show and ABC will be paying them big money.

I pity Harry .............. his life with Meghan is going to be fraught with her family's behaviour(s).


Mind you, this would never have happened in "the old days" when the British Press kept the privacy of the Royal family.

You would think that the advisers to Prince Harry would have done their homework when the engagement was announced and had plan B and probably C in place to pre empt any unforseen difficulties?!! Let's face it, with any wedding you need other plans to fall back on supposing a main player is ill, or can't make it for some reason! I imagine that's the problem of living in a goldfish bowl! clearly the advisors do too!!!

Sometimes the remedy to a problem is so simple that we fail to see it.

I think it's safe to say there will be a plan B, it's just that she'd rather have had plan A.

Of course she would, but at least some careful planning and perhaps the bridegroom meeting the bride's father in advance would at least helped this event from turning into a charade, with the tabloids loving it very second of it! The police are apparently removing sleeping bags and other items from the streets of Windsor so as not to offend the crowds. They've promised to give them back though after the event so that's alright!! Wonder what the homeless will do meantime, or if anyone cares?!!

The wealthy do all they can to insulate their children from failure or any other nastiness like rough sleepers & their sleeping bags.

if megan is so close to her dad why hasnt she flown out to see him in hospital,and take harry too,they have plenty of time before the wedding.
