I miss Flavia she was fantastic, looking forward to seeing the new dancers as well

First in new series to begin tonight. Read in the papers that the newbies have been taught a Charleston! They usually leave that until they are a few weeks in. Good luck to them!

There are a few in the mix who have been to stage school and a few from bands, so looking forward to seeing the Plodders who have not danced before, and rooting for them.

There are piccies in the newspapers this morning of Kate Silverton...she certainly looks the part :-D :-D

I do like Kate, from what I have seen of her on tv. She seems very 'normal'. She was bemoaning the fact that she has size 9 feet the other day. Makes me seem dainty by comparison. :-D :-D

First show over, and all good. I think the tribute to Darcy was lovely, if a little cheesy.

I think I knew that Anton would be paired with Susannah, no surprises there. Charles seems to have some fluidity, as has Ashley. But early days.

Love Oti and Katya.

They don't seem a bad bunch. As usual there are a few that don't look as if they'll make the grade. I hope they'll be some surprises :-D

First show 'proper' of the series tonight. Danny is said to have swollen feet from all the practising. I shall be watching with interest Susannah and Kate, and cheering them on.

Cant wait.....going for a shampoo and set in preparation. :-D :-D :-D

We will have to catch up on record when we get back, we are often away for the first one. I think it might be a good series with a few surprises. Those who have training might not be as good as people expect!

That was a roller-coaster of a show. The scores were all over the place.

I don't really know who Charles is, someone from Casualty? Very loose limbed, and a great dancer.

I think Bruno is taking over from Len, with all his kind comments. Craig? Doing his maiden aunt disapproving act. :-D :-D

I do think Shirley was over critical especially with it being the first show :-0. After all, these are celebrities many of which haven't danced before not Pros..

Ok Susannah wasn't very good but she had put a lot of hard work in and that if nothing else should have been recognised....how deflating to hear some of the remarks :-(. Also, I don't think Anton's remarks were very uplifting for her either :-(

It will be interesting to see how they all develop of the next months :-D

I noted Anton remarks also Londonbelle. I really wouldn't like to be critical to any of them on week 1. Suzanne nerves got the better of her and Anton seamed to be dragging her through the routine at one point. However he never seems to take latin seriously maybe that is because he isn't that good, hence the outfits its to take attention away from his partner and also his own lack of ability although it seems to be improved last night maybe he has taken lessons himself :-D

I do not think Shaun is getting the gist of the judges comments and marks he seemed to be on the brink of outrage or shock. I noticed Danny, I was getting the vibe of Jazz hands :-0

Danny has been in musicals in the West End. Papers say he used to go to a dance studio years ago that Bruno attended. They have known each other for years.

I too thought Shirley was very harsh with her comments. I know you have to have rules, but as Belle says, it is their first week. Some have natural ability, some do not.

Anton is a wonderful ballroom dancer, but I am not sure about his Latin. His costume was pure Morcambe and Wise.

I think Katie is still wracked with nerves, but all the judges gave her encouragement.

I agreed with Shirley for once - the one with the unruly hair should have had it tied back fro the Tango - All the others did and it would have looked better. He is one i dont think will ever take anything seriously.

I have no idea who he is - he has talent but wont take things seriously and had no thought for his dance partner whatsoever. Certainly wouldn't vote for him.

Not sure yet who to vote for - I liked Faye - Charles from Casualty and the one from Death in Paradise. They are the only ones i know.

Its week 1 I don't expect see anyone good ones, I think Stacy and Kevin are the dark horses this series

For week 2 I thought most of the couples showed very good quality of dancers.

I have forgot Graham and Oti's dance already.
Katie's paso was very stompy.
I thought Ashley Vick Kate Ranj and Lauren did very well thought Shirley was harsh with some for week 2. Danny seem very please with himself, take a bow Danny opps ....you certainly did. I can not take to Lee or Joe. I even think Katya lost timing at one point trying to drag Sean back.

I liked Faye and thought it was very good for week 2.
I wish they would split the first weeks into 2 separate shows as it does get a bit confusing when we don’t really know them yet.

Shirley is being honest in her judging.May seem harsh,but she is saying what she sees and not what they want to hear,and ,if I recall,Karen did apologise at the end of the dance.

I didn't see all the dances but I did like Charles quick step...think it's so difficult for the men as they have to lead but I'm sure their partners help them out ;-) :-D

I did like the girl who danced to Somewhere thought she looked the part and had such elegant arms but the fact I like the song could have something to do with it :-D

I don't particularly like Joe either...it will be interesting to see how he copes with the ballroom dances :-0

Think it is going to be very difficult for Susannah to make the grade...even the mist around her feet didn't help. Such a shame because I think she is putting in the work but you've either got or you haven't got style...sadly for her she hasn't :-(

Suzanne is not popular with the public due to her views on fox hunting. I don't think Anton is that good either he used to be an old favorite but even that is wavering now. One trick pony, not a good partnership or even believable.

I sobbed all the way through Vick;s dance to somewhere as it was the song they carried my mum in to the church ( my choice by Matt Munro) and Vick dance beautifully.

Awwwww Madge....It is such a beautiful song with lovely words<3 <3
