Any sign of Easter eggs yet?

I'm fed up with 'Strictly'!

There’s Hot Cross Buns. Will they do? :-D

Today, we have a mind-numbing choice of TV viewing!

4 hours of non-stop 'Simpsons' cartoons on Channel 4 (all repeats) plus 5 hours of 'Friends' on Channel 5 (all repeats), followed by 'Free Willy' on Channel 5.

My brain hurts.

To save my sanity, David Attenborough comes along this evening with 'Dynasties' on BBC1. New quality stuff.

I do put my cottage scene out early December. As they have cost us a lot to buy over the years I like to get as much enjoyment out of them as I can. Tree (not real) will go up a bit later.

Morrisons in Canterbury have their decorated Christmas trees up in store.

Daughter always comments to me that she thinks they should wait until after Remembrance Day.

Our son's birthday is on the 22nd Dec and we always put out decs up about the 20th. It's nowhere near Dec yet, far far too early, you'd be sick of them by Xmas!

We’re in the same situation as Magpie, with a family birthday about a week before Christmas. I’d put the tree up a few days before then, just to make it ‘special’.

The children always wanted it up earlier. After all, their Primary Schools started their Christmas preparations at the beginning of December.

Mind some are mighty nice :-D :-D

Dressed Christmas trees lined the arcade in the shopping centre in Folkestone yesterday.
Nearer Christmas the whole centre of town has real ones attached to every lamp-post in past years. Schools are allotted a tree to decorate, -some with more success than others, when they've faced wind and rain for a few weeks.

Not seen any house decorations yet.

There are only two in the vicinity that have had lights outside lights and some window ones since hallowen,,,,come next week and the early birds will be following suit.I noticed the couple that do a scene each xmas for their disabled son but mainly any donations that wish to be given,(its all above board) the scene changes each year, and done very tasteful,I noticed abt 2 weeks ago poles and wires.and netting were up.so they are getting on the move, mind they are in their early 70s..

ours anytime after 15th.

I don't think we should put up Christmas decorations lest we offend those of other faiths.

MotownGal Report 14 Nov 2018 20:19

There are fully dressed Christmas trees springing up in all the public squares around here.

Its like the flipping Enchanted Forest.

You may jest, but a few years ago, a neighbour was asked to turn off their xmas outside lights on a sunday as it offended someone close by and they were of a local church!

Since I moved I hang my washing out on a sunday now..lol Ive become a right rebel..lol

But lets not get into that debate about removing xmas and having happy Holidays :-D :-D :-D
