We were out for our afternoon walk, we got about halfway round when a dog approached. It looked like a German shepherd but wasn't quite big enough so a cross. He had a collar on so belonged to someone. Priya loves other animals so was wagging her tail but then her tail went down. She got round the back of me and the dog followed her so she went round me and I was having to turn. Just then a young woman I often talk to came out of her house and waved. I shouted to her about the dog and she said she didn't know him. He then started to growl at Priya, he was quite a bit bigger than her, She squealed and the lady started to come over, Priya started squealing again as he came towards her and I wasn't near anywhere to get her to safety. She start pulling backwards and her harness came off and she was free. We were in a quiet area but the main road was just round the corner and she started to run that way with the dog running after her but she ran between the parked cars and ran back towards me, side stepping me and ran towards home. The young woman ran towards the other dog and it put him off just enough to let Priya run round the corner and into our garden. The other dog stopped at the corner as he'd lost her, I got past him and found Priya trembling on our front patio by the patio doors. I shut the gate and the dog ran at the gate but couldn't get at her. I got her indoors and he went.

I don't know if I should take her out tomorrow incase he's about and I don't know if she'll want to go :-0
