I had a nasty experience with my big soppy dog Shep. I was walking him on a lead when a Staff came out of a block of flats and clamped his jaws around Sheps neck.

I'm not ashamed to say that I was hysterical as even it's owner couldn't pry open it's teeth.

Three things saved Shep. He played dead. He was overweight and also very fluffy round his neck. That with his collar also protected his throat.

I had to be almost carried home by some neighbours.
I was too scared to take him out again :-( :-( :-(

Pepper is supposed to be good Pat.

I saw it on a dog training programme. They have to sneeze and thereby release the dog. Unfortunately your dog will get it as well, but I suppose it's the lesser evil

Thanks both <3

It was one of the most frightening experiences I've had. I was sure my baby was dead
Another neighbour came out with a shovel to hit the staff. It's owner had his fist actually in the dog's mouth as well but he would not release Shep.

I did try to take him out afterwards, but I was so frightened and other dogs knew it and made a beeline for us :-(
