They are trying their best and should be in their new building next door but the builder chosen to build the new hospital went bankrupt and it lies empty and needs finishing off. :-0

It’s shocking Pat, Corillion was the company...they took over a contract on our local RAF site where my OH had done maintenance and ground works for 25 years...we kept well away...wasn’t about to have to wait 3 months plus for invoices to be paid, they dragged a lot of small builders etc down with them..whilst paying themselves big bonuses :-0 :-0

PatinCyprus Report 21 Jan 2019 20:05

I know as soon as my OH heard they were getting big contracts he said there would be trouble. The hospital should be completed by the government as they gave Corillion all the contracts.

Agree Pat...if it had been in the City of London they would have done in my opinion.

The old Liverpool Royal is in a terrible state, floods regular, all sorts of problems..the place is falling to bits

I know, I'm originally from the Midlands so know all about the north/south divide.

Most people will tell you the strongest wind to hit in recent time was the hurricane that hit the south well about 2 years later a stronger wind hit Scotland and a lot of damage done - not a dickie bird said. I know about it because OH was in both (think someone was trying to tell him something) ;-) :-D :-D

It makes my blood boil, just all the fat cats down parliament..claiming for this and claiming for that..getting £300 per day to make an appearance in Lords..then shove off for the rest of the day..free lunches dinners etc...and 8 bars to choose from incase they get thirsty whilst working
:-0 :-0

Don’t get me started about what they will be spending on buildings such as Big Ben :-0 :-0

Wales and Scotland are at the bottom of the pecking order :-( :-(

PatinCyprus Report 21 Jan 2019 20:19

We provincials don't matter Ann but when you do the count up far more live away from the south than in it. :-(

**Ann**

**Ann** Report 21 Jan 2019 20:26

I wouldn’t want to live there Pat..couldn’t afford it for a start, the people who were born and bred there..have no chance of getting on the property ladder...all the available housing and land is being bought from abroad as quick as you can blink. I love the history etc.

My OH was born in Poplar so is a cockney but left when weeks old and lived in Strood, Kent until he joined the RAF. He doesn't like the South, we lived in Nottinghamshire for years and he loved it there.

**Ann** Report 21 Jan 2019 20:31
