Another nigh-on two hour stint! Thermos and blanket at the ready. :-D

I must admit Halloween is not my favourite night. Personally I think all the get-up distracts from the dancing. But that is just my opinion.

Bruno is back tonight, so we have the full set again.

As entertaining as he is, I fear it will be Mike tonight.

AnninGlos Report 26 Oct 2019 12:24

I too am not keen on Haloween night, I think we get a lot of over acting and, as you say, the emphasis is on the costumes not the dancing. Yes I think it might be Mike tonight.

Way to go Kevin!

Watched and enjoyed, but had a put set on pause to go for a P & T
Some couples did get lost in their role playing and lost out on ( or just didn't do enough )dance moves.
It is up to the professional dancer to get the balance right.

Hope that the lovely Will and Janette are back next week. I missed them.

I think that it will be Mike or Chris in dance off, with a surprise "other couple"

Time will tell.

Street dance is not for me but I thought Alex out danced Kevin....I know he stepped in at the last minute but even so :-D :-D. Alex seems to be better dancing when she doesn't have to make too much contact with her partner...I reckon she will be good at the jive but will find ballroom more demanding...time will tell:-D

Karim I think has the ability but didn't shine this week due to the choreography :-0

The one that I think has made the most improvement is the Viscountess, I think she might be the surprise package....she certainly looks the part :-D

I too think Chris and Mike in the dance off :-(

Halloween Night isn't for me either.....too many Zombies :-D :-D

I am pleased that Anton is still in with a shout. He has had the short straw for too long.

Shame about Will, I wonder if he will be fit enough to rehearse next week? How long do people get a 'buy' into the next round? It will be sad to see him go out in injury circumstances.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 27 Oct 2019 12:06

I didn't see all the show.... sorry to hear about Will.....he is an inspiration <3 :-)

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 27 Oct 2019 15:07

Will has badly torn a ligament in his knee. I was reading this morning that it is quite possible he won't be able to dance at all which is a great shame and means that one week there won't be anyone sent home to balance it out. I doubt that will be this week though as they are not sure what is happening.
I thought it was great of Kevin to put himself up there not knowing the routine with only a couple of hours rehearsal, especially as it was not a normal ballroom or latin dance. I think Alix did very well to get him through, she actually shouted at him once to 'jump'.

Yes, Chris or Mike or both in the dance off I think.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 27 Oct 2019 20:12

Well I didn’t agree with that. Ok neither were very good but I think Catherine might have improved more than Mike, he just stomps around. I think when it is a tie with the judges it would be fairer if they then eliminated the couple who had the lowest public vote.

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 27 Oct 2019 22:42

I agree Ann, Catherine seemed to make more improvement than Mike. She also showed more promise for the future weeks. H

I think that it is better to have the Cha-cha in thee early weeks, while there are still a few of the not so good celebrities dancing. Besides being a difficult dance 9so low marks) it doesn't seem to be a crowd pleaser (so low votes) unless it is danced really well.

As it looks likely that Will is out because of his injury, I think that the only couple still to dance the Cha-cha is Emma and Anton.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 28 Oct 2019 08:15

Well I am glad you two ladies agree with my thoughts. I don't see how Mike got through and Catherine got booted out. I agree with Bridget that the public vote should be taken into account. We have this discussion every year.

I think the most entertaining moment of the show was when Karen's wig came flying off, then she kicked it. :-D

AnninGlos Report 28 Oct 2019 08:21

There was a huge reaction of facebook but to be fair the replies were mixed. However, most agreed with us and some were not very complementary to Shirley. It is not her fault though that the system is the way it is. Although some said she was biased against the women celebrities< I had not noticed that, has anyone?

MR_MAGOO

MR_MAGOO Report 28 Oct 2019 09:31

I agree with the above comments but what is wrong is the with a 2-1 vote Shirley’s vote makes it 2-2 and Mike goes through.

You can’t have a head judge having a casting vote when there is an even number of judges.

Just my opinion :-D

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 28 Oct 2019 09:35

I think it is always difficult for the men as they have to lead and I think Mike did lead las night......on the night I did prefer Mike's dance

I do like Johann I do hope he will be back next year :-) <3

I think Chris was genuinely surprised he wasn't in the dance off :-0

I do agree with you all about the judging....I think if after all four judges have voted it is a draw it should be decided on the best audience vote too:-D

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 31 Oct 2019 09:48

The BBC have made a Statement.......Sadly, due to an injury sustained last week, Will Bailey will be leaving Strictly Come Dancing.

Needless to say, Will is said to be gutted :-( <3

Annx Report 1 Nov 2019 10:41

Such a shame about Will getting injured and not able to continue, Maybe they took advice first, but I would question how sensible it was to have him jumping off a table as I think that was what he was doing. I shall miss him and his smile and cheerfulness.:-( :-(

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 1 Nov 2019 10:56

Yes he will be missed for his determination

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 1 Nov 2019 11:07

Such a shame Will went out under these circumstances. He was in the papers with his leg in a brace, so it must be serious. He was enjoying himself so much. <3

However, the BBC said there are enough dancers to ensure a dance-off every week, so no-one get a buy- through to next week.

Watched, voted, waiting.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 3 Nov 2019 12:57

Difficult to tell who will go out tonight. Anton is in danger as well as maybe Mike, viscountess Weymouth and also Saffron But the ones at the top are very close so not necessarily safe.

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 3 Nov 2019 13:51

I agree Ann. Perhaps another shock exit this week.
