So things ain’t going so good

I was told in jan that the biopsy of the full hysterectomy done 30th dec showed carcinoma sarcoma in the womb

It’s a rare but aggressive cancer so was offered 4 sessions of chemo then radiotherapy depending on results

So had a ct scan two weeks ago and a consultation last Thursday with the oncologist for results to be told that the chemo hasn’t stopped any spread cos a chest lymph node is enlarged

All other nodes look ok

The biopsy on the original organs looked all contained

So was told is it worth doing the last chemo today?

Need to do a pet scan now to check the node .
I was if it shows cancer is that it it? No it’s not the end of the road cos we have things we can do

Originally i said well it’s so close as the next chemo is next wed (today) so will go ahead and have it

Got a call on Monday to set up scan but it can’t be done until 6 weeks after last chemo and I was nooooo that too long l I want it done asap to see what shows

So I have cancelled todays chemo and got pet scan 19may

Am I Shitting myself ? Yes big time !

I am trying still to be positive as it’s the only way to deal with it

Not giving up but it is a hard trying to get my head around it especially as it happened so unexpectedly ,

You never know what’s going on silently inside you that’s for sure
