So contact Romford Library to see who was living at 123 Balgores lane in 1948 as I doubt she was living on her own....her parents may have sent her to surrey to have you.

But as I have posted a census's of the father of Evelyn born 1927 living very close to that address with a family business being a Grocer it looks more likely to me

Tree on ancestry says she sadly died in 2009

The tree owner looks to be a granddaughter of Evelyn

Looks like they only had one daughter in 1955

As Evelyn and her husband are now deceased I will send a contact address of her daughter....but please be aware she may not know anything about you

I was told she was an unmarried mother of 16and girs/women were at that time sent away from their own home town by their parents to give birth then give the child up for adoption and return home and also I was told that Denmark nursing home was run by Canadian nurses for Canadian fathered children whether this is actual I have no way of knowing all I know there were Canadian troops billited around the area at the time

On the wedding certicate that I have the father is fredrick riley and I believe the mother was margaret

When I went to st katherines house back in late 1970 there was only one evelyn mary Riley on the register :-)

I have just proved the Evelyn who lived at 123 Balgores lane was born 1927 and Clifford and Florence were her parents

Have you looked at the probate Clipping I sent?

When she came to see me I have just remembered she mentioned she had a brother and she was convinced he had used her name to get his girlfriend medical care :-)

I am now very confused when she came to see me in the early 80s her husband said he saw traces of her brother in me and although she denied that I was her daughter she gave me too much personal information to say she was my mother

Clifford and Florence Riley lived at 123 Balgores Lane up until at least 1953...their daughter was born 1927 (posted on previous page) so isn't that enough to prove she is your mother

This has obviously thrown you for a loop but look at the facts. The address you have has a family of Rileys living there who had a daughter called Evelyn.

I assume you were the one to make contact with the other poor Evelyn who also happened to have a child out of wedlock.

I made contact through a third party who assured me that this lady in Nottingham was my mother,that was way back in the late seventies and this person was from the adoption agency at st Katherine house, as they told me that they would make contact my behalf through a letter and a visit to the location to see if they still lived at the paticular address so all this time the poor person I thought was my bioloical mother might of not of been, oh dear this is not good, now I need to start all over again to find my biological family and I apologise to those whom I have upset as this was not at all my intention at all
