I think you are going to find she was registered in another surname or a possiblity he was her stepfather and she took on the Madigan surname,

If you could find she was baptised RC in Kilrush a parent/s name will be listed, plus sponser/s iwho could be a family relative ,but her actual date of birth would have to be known.There maybe other Madigan baptisims listing Patrick Madigan as father and then find a marriage after 1920 for him.These records in all probaility will still be with the church

Hi all
Just had an e mail from my friend, has finally tracked her grandparents, the 1920 birth date was the correct one, her grandfather married twice so there are actually siblings born in the 1930s who are still living, hopefully somebody knows something about her father.
