Good morning :-D
Porridge with brown sugar and cream? Mmmm....SO decadent but SO delicious - thank you Sylvs - much appreciated.
I woke to an eerie silence this morning which is strange as this is such a busy, busy, road. The snow is about 5-6" deep, if not more. There are at least 6 abandoned cars which have been pushed over to the kerbs.
OH says there was fun and games at about 1am this morning as around 10 cars were skewing up and down the road and their passengers were rushing around trying to push them. I missed it all........ :-D
Can't see the point in attempting to go anywhere today but, as it's starting to rain, the snow may not last that long......whoopeee.....

I spotted a link on GR this morning that took me to a site displaying the description of a "Clickophile". I'm guessing that we have all encountered a few "Clickophiles" in our time as members of GR and other genealogy sites: :-D
You might be a clickophile...
...if you think copying other trees constitutes research.
...if you think you can go back 10 generations in a matter of hours or even days.
...if you are more interested in unsourced connections to royalty than sourced connections to labourers.
...if your "brick wall" was built in a day.
...if you think a man who died in 1842 could have been a soldier in the U.S. Civil War.
...if you cannot resist adding yet another fake coat of arms to your tree.
...if you accept shaky leaf hints without question.
...if you are willing to accept a marriage record that is dated years before the bride's or groom's birth date.
...if you think a woman over 60 or dead can give birth.
...if you have figures from Greek and/or Roman mythology in your tree.
...if you think everyone with the same surname is related.
...if you do not think it is unusual for a man to have 30 kids with 2 wives over 10 years.
...if you do not see a problem with one woman having 50 children.
...if you think flag clip art is more important than scanned records.
...if you think a person can have marriages and children over 3 centuries.
...if you have scans of cabinet card photos as profile pictures for people born in the 1700s or earlier.
...if you add a person to your tree without realizing there are already 10 people on your tree with that same name, born in the same year, all with the same parents.
...if you do not know the difference between Paris, Texas and Paris, France.
...if you think a 1930 census record is a good source for someone who died in 1892.
...if you think every person that has the same name is the same person.
...if you think all data found in books or online is true.
...if you do not care that the profile of your great-grandfather on your tree makes him look like a polygamist. (Assuming he wasn't.)
...if you think a bigamist in 1850 had one family in New York and one in California.
...if you think you can have an accurate family tree going back to Adam and Eve.
...if you think this means you need to look for more trees:

Well, what a night!
Taxi wouldnt come up our road, so we walked to the main drag to flag a black cab.
After slipping all over the place we managed to get dropped off at the pub at 8pm to meet Tim & Chris before going on to the Italian for 9.30pm
JB went on to get some wine and we went straight in to the restaurant, where we greeted with hugs and kisses from the lovely staff.
Sat down and............all the power went off, lucky there was lots of candles!
Tim says, dont worry, they will have gas to cook and there was an emergency light in the kitchen
Waiter came to chat with us, the gas is powered by electric :-S
10.15pm we decided it was time to go for a curry. Walked up the road and headed into a place called 'Nirmals'
It was empty which is not a good sign for a Saturday night. Got the menus and tried to order....the owner an Indian lady came and sat with us and started telling us what we should and shouldnt have :-0
She forced a dish onto me for my main, highly recomended. After a while she came to tell me they had run out of 'said' recomended dish and would I have XYZ!!!
When it came, I couldnt eat it. One dish was potato based and was so salty, I couldnt eat it (and you know how I like my salt)
The other dish, was a pile of sloppy spinach.....inedible.
When the bill came, we couldnt read it so asked her to come and explain. One of the charges was £10.90 for a service charge....err, nope, not paying that
There were two ways we could have gone with this, get angry and walk out or laugh our t#ts orf...we went for the latter and had a fab time taking the mick
And it was BUDDY expensive
We'll dine out on this experience for some time, no pun intended!

Gin,
Sounds as if the Indian restaurant that you visited should have been named Crimi Nirmals. :-D
High prices, not having the food they recommend available, inedible substitute food and a high service charge. No wonder it was empty on a Saturday night.
There must be better and cheaper ways that you and JB can find to laugh you t#ts off.
