Copied this from a forum - Wet Wipes

VVVicki, you did it!!!! I only got around to finally tackling the wall a few minutes ago, armed with washing-up liquid and paper towels. Then I remembered your advise about the wet wipes, so I tried that first and it came off. And it only took 4 baby wipes!
I'm very ashamed to say it has been there for 2 years! Kim and Aggie would be disgusted with me.

I have heard they remove all sorts of nasty stuff and don't leave damage

You don't need to stand on a chair our Dea...........Viv ain't THAT tall........more like sort of shortish in a tall way :-D

Vaseline on a wall??? I know how I would have dealt with it once upon a time! A good clip round the 'ear 'ole!!! :-D

I can remove grease from clothes but can't remember doing so from a wall. If you google for help, there are lots of suggestions - I didn't realise so many people had problems with the stuff :-S

I'm with Persie on the the wet beach walk AND the swimming faff. The sight of all those wet wrinkled bodies in the shower room is too, too much sometimes. :-D

It's a horrible day here - more like October-November. :-(

Gee Report 18 May 2013 17:12

Don't know where they got it from Jonesey but looking at your recent avatar - it does seem to match !!!

I must say - I preferred the 'real' one with you as the 'big hairy biker with a beard !!'

It's not me Persie, I quite like walking in the rain and jumping in puddles :-). It's Carlo and his accessories. Takes soooo much longer and he's a bit doddery in the dry never mind the wet.

Dea

Dea Report 18 May 2013 18:25

You HAVE to spill Toots - for those of us who don't know, who or what is 'Carlos' ?????

I refuse to do on-line banking

I refuse to use a bank machine to take out money

I refuse to use debit machines in stores, etc

all are far too liable to "criminal activity" for my liking .....................

and, no, I am not exaggerating!

Thieves have indeed hacked into on-line banking sites

Thieves have put false fronts onto bank machines, and thus accessed accounts, draining them before people have realised

and thieves have replaced legit debit machines with fake ones that collect pin numbers etc .................. either that fake machine is set up to transfer details to another computer OR the thieves return and remove the fake machines

These have all happened here ..................... the "activity" seems to come in cycles.

We go into the bank and take out cash over the counter ................ the banks here have realised that many people still prefer to do this, and have restored a lot of the counter service they had removed about 5 years ago.

We pay most bills by cheque

We use credit cards at stores, restaurants, etc

Our only standard debits are for life insurance and medical insurance monthly payments, and transfers to other bank accounts.
