A GR member has Griffith Buckingham 1851 Bangor in his tree, but that's the only potential connection to these people I see at this site.

Name: C. Littler Buckingham
Age: 5
Estimated birth year: abt 1876
Relation: Grandchild
Where born: Rhyl, Flintshire, Wales

Civil parish: Rhuddlan
County/Island: Flintshire

>> Benjamin Littler 60
>> Mary Littler 68
>> C. Littler Buckingham 5

It was staring at us all along. LK, you posted that census at the top of page 2 ...in much longer form, of course. ;)

Hello LK and JC

Nice to see you both having fun with the info from the will which is Robert Jnr's will he died in 1918.

Now I also found the same IGI record for Frances but I found Robert in the IGI being christened 29 Sep 1843, Nevin, Caerarvon also Richard on 12 Feb 1832 in Nevin as well.

Census records seems to have Robert being born in 1843 which would be impossible if Frances was as well.
To find these I had to take off the Owen surname otherwise I could not find them.

Just to add a bit of family history, my aunt thought the Captain went to machynlleth before ending up in Mostyn in around 1835, she also thought Margaret came from there but on census records she's from Amlwich.

With the Littlers, I was wondering if there was a connection to Benjamin as a family acquaintance. From what you've found it looks like he was looking after her kids.

Well I'd love to add more but my daughter wants the lap top so I will have to wait till tomorrow to see what you have both found out.

Thanks to you both
Linda

Linda -- the mother of Eleanor Littler Buckingham (married Whitley) was a Littler:

Marriages Jun 1875
> Buckingham Griffith St Asaph 11b 581
JONES Jane St Asaph 11b 581
> Littler Mary Jane St Asaph 11b 581
LLOYD John St Asaph 11b 581

Eleanor Littler Buckingham is described as Benjamin Littler's granddaughter in 1881

Name: C. Littler Buckingham
(comparing writing on the page, it's "E." not "C")
Age: 5
Estimated birth year: abt 1876
Relation: Grandchild
Where born: Rhyl, Flintshire, Wales

So Mary Jane Littler, Eleanor's mother, must have been Benjamin's daughter:

1871

Benjamin Sittler 48
Mary Sittler 56
>> Mary Jane Sittler 32
Ellen Williams 23
Mary Williams 20
Owen Williams 23

Deaths Jun 1881
Buckingham Griffith 29 St Asaph 11b 249
- may have died just before the census, explaining why his daughter was with her grandparents.

So it would seem: Yes, LadyKira.

If you are related to Eleanor Littler Buckingham/Whitley, you're related to Benjamin Littler. Was that the question? ;)

It's just that I'm not. :(

Hi LK
Just another thing to think about in regards to connections to Owen/s
Here is the exert from the will regarding the KEYWORTHS

To each of them the said GEORGE BRERETON KEYWORTH and MARION KEYWORTH of Rock Ferry in the County of Chester the sum of TWO HUNDRED AND FIRTY POUNDS

George is Harriet's son and here they are in 1911

1911 census transcription details for: 55 Warren Drive New Brighton Ches
National Archive Reference: RG14PN22056 RG78PN1310A RD452 SD3 ED4 SN73

Reg. District: Birkenhead Sub District: Wallasey
Parish: Liscard Enum. District: 4
Address: 55 Warren Drive New Brighton Ches County: Cheshire
Name Relation Condition/
Yrs married Sex Age Birth
Year Occupation, Where Born
DAVIES, Robert Head Single M 69 1842 Gentleman Flint Mostyn
KEYWORTH, Harriet Cousin Widow F 51 1860 Lancs Liverpool
KEYWORTH, George Brereton Cousin Single M 28 1883 Flour Millers Salesman Lancs Liverpool

Now I think she is related to Margaret Owen/s as I have traced back Harriet to an Owen Owens from Amlwich

Elizabeth Thomas marries Owen Owens of Amlwich Anglesey born 1811

Owen Owens I think is possibly Margaret Owens brother?

Owen and Elizabeth have 2 children

David Owens of Amlwich Anglesey born 1835

Jane Owens of Liverpool born 1838

Jane Owens marries Brereton Evans in 1855 in Liverpool

Jane and Brereton have 7 children

Elizabeth Evans of Liverpool born 1856

Harriett Evans of Liverpool born 1858

Jane Evans of Liverpool born 1861

Brereton Evans of Liverpool born 1863

Margaret Evans of Liverpool born 1866

Edith Evans of Liverpool born 1871

Charles Evans of Liverpool born 1873

Harriett Evans marries Walter Keyworth in 1881 in Liverpool

Harriett and Walter have 1 son

George Brereton Keyworth of Liverpool born 1882

George Brereton Keyworth marries Marion Wilson Shaw in Wirral in 1911

All looks and sounds good but I still don’t know for sure if Owen Owens and Margaret Owens are brother and sister, but if they were then Harriett would be Roberts’s second cousin??

Also my Grandmother was born in Frondeg, Llanfair-Mathafarn-Eithaf, Anglesey, Wales.

Now on Google searching, that house looks like it was owned by an Owen/s in the National Archive records,
Could her mum have gone to her grandparents house to have her? Who knows.
I have tried hunting down a connection between Margaret Owen and Owen owens but had no luck so far.
I think I will order the marriage certificate for 1829 anyway.

Not sure where that Hugh Owen/Davies fits in? Maybe he died?

Any way got to go again.

Yes I had wondered about the Hargreaves connection, family friends maybe, also looks like the correct one as he was a stock broker from memorey in the will

Bye happy hunting

Phew

Lucky escape.

I followed that research too Linda from George to Owen Owens but like you have not found the missing link.

Might be worth putting it on your tree and marking it as not proven and putting each census result for each person on their.
It is much easier to visualise the relationships then and again you may spot a common address.

I did spot something else when I was at work yesterday worth looking at. will look again in a while.

Yes I might try putting owen Owens in my tree and see what eventuates.

Also regarding this post:

Did you mean Ancestry.com or Genes?
I know one person on Genes but would be interested if someone was on Ancestry, mind you it could be the same person.

Sticking in here again, but I just did a search for an Evan Davies for someone, and FMP regards Evan as an alternative for John. So, please, also you Welsh experts in North Wales, should I be looking for a Evan Davies instead of a John Davies?

LadyKira

Yes as far as I know. It is still the same name like Ivan is also John.
