I have an ancestor born in Germany.
John Bichri who states in the english census
that he was born Hasse Cassell 1798
he marries as John but his death certificates
states Jean so not sure if that is the German
way of pronousing John.
It would be great if you could find his birth details.

My great grandfather was Otto Hermann born
1861 in Germany. He was a hairdresser who
can be first found in England 1891(Charles Thayst Hermon). I know nothing
about him - he later changed his name to Charles.
Not much to go on I am afraid.

The earliest birth found for a John Bichri was in 1810. The only other records were I gather was his marriage in England to Mary Ann Taylor and three of his children. You probable have all these already.

Usely John is Jean in French and Johann in Germany.

Hi Gael, Don't think Conrad went to USA as he got married in the UK in 1875. On his marrage cert he has his fathers name as Robert Shuster so I don't think he changed his name. I can't seem to follow this line!! Many thanks for looking.

I am trying to find any information on Josef Johann Reiter born I think Vienna April 1874. I know he married and divorced but I do not know her name .He had brothers Heinrick and Felix and a sister, his parents or grandparents may have come from Budapest. Anything that you find would be helpful.

More information is required. There was no Josef Johann Reiter in Vienna or Wein or his brothers.

Budapest is a long way from Vienna and it would help to have his parents or grandparents names.

Did Josef ever leave Austria?

Yes Josef Johann reiter did come to England he was here in 1911 but I cannot find when he arrived.

Henry Louis Christian Blohm (probably born Heinrich), father Hermann Blohm
Clara Rosagie Gunther, father Otto Gunther.

They were married in Liverpool in 1878 and never admitted on any census what part of Germany they came from. Henry was a Sugar boiler and apparently many of the came to liverpool from the Hanover area.
