ASTRA,
Many thanks ,
I do know Sidney remarried to an Elizabeth.
On Frances Martha Eggintons marriage cert to my GG grandad Frederick it's got that her fathers name was Sidney occupation printer.
I found her birth reg and sent off for it and they replyed there was no trace of her.
Can't get me head round it.

Hi Luan,

So you don't have your G G Grans birth cert?? Is that right?

So pleased the Neale family ties in for you, at least the sister were still close and maybe supported eachother through their hard times.

Nice one Dee. But if she was their daughter where does the adoption come in to the story??

I was just going through the baptisms and find that Sidney and Elizabeth had two more sons Robert Henry and John William both of whom died in infancy.

Just come across a previous thread about the same man.

BatMansDaughter Report 6 Feb 2011 13:46

Hi Astra,

yes a bit of a puzzle regarding the adoption. I think that Fanny Martha the daughter was "fostered" out with her sister after the breakdown of her parents marriage and hence no adoption by the Eggingtons........ these were her real parents.

Later in the daughters life she may have stated she was adopted and the real story was mixed up along the family lineage?

Thankyou soooooo sooooooooo much eveyone for your help!!
Astra we always thought she was adopted and when i could'nt get birth cert i thiught that may of been the case.

Dee,
Yes thats right can't get her birth cert.
This little family jigsaw is slowly pieceing together.

Sidney must of left Fanny.
So 1891 census correct she was left with her daughter Edith.
Fanny must of sent my GG Grandmother Fanny and her sister Alice Maud to Wribenhall Kidderminster.Fanny met her husbeand Frederick in kidderminster and they ran a farm.
Edith lived with Fanny and Fred in 1911 on the farm.

In 1901 her mother Fanny was in a SalvAtion Army Shelter.
She must of been left with nothing when her hubb Sidney left her to remarry Elizabeth (married in 1895).

If you order this birth certificate through the GRO online there is no reason why you shouldn't get it.

Just looking for a Kidderminster/Worcester connection. Now William Eggington is Sidneys younger brother and I found this;

1891 England Census
about William Egginton
Name: William Egginton
Age: 28
Estimated birth year: abt 1863
Relation: Nephew
Gender: Male
Where born: Bermondsey, London, England

Civil Parish: Kings Norton
Ecclesiastical parish: Moseley St Mary
Town: Moseley
County/Island: Worcestershire
Country: England

Street address:

Occupation:

Condition as to marriage:

Education:

Employment status: View image

Registration district: Kings Norton
Sub-registration district: Kings Norton

Neighbors: View others on page
Household Members: Name Age
Emma E Hancox 66
William Egginton 28
Helena J Whitby 17
Albert E Butlin 27
William Lowe 18

Now I haven't checked anything else out yet, but if Edith M ( who I think is May Edith) went to live with her sister Mrs Fanny Martha Heath in 1911 then there was still a connection between them, no emails back then and I would imagine it would be quite easy to lose contact.......... so family members in the Worcester area would make sense to me??

This maybe just a weak link to Worcester, however Emma may have made preperations for the 2 young Eggington girls to come to the area for her nephew Sidney??
