One belated question to SS.... do you actually have the birth cert for Leonard Reginald Prescott?? (I may have missed that in all this!). Sorry.

Chris Ho :) Report 19 Feb 2011 08:13

Hello SS, yes, Lilly F was another daughter...she is with Stephen and Margaret (and other siblings) on page 2 of this thread :-)

You can find Deceased Online on google, credits need to be bought in order to view scanned copies of Burial Register.

The Letter of Administration means there wasn't a Will made...a copy can be got, but will have no other info. on it, other than what is already posted.

Chris :)

edits to say, it's lookin' good Jax over on History...Well Done :-))

The great thing about deceasedonline.com is that you can get the names and burial dates of all those buried in the lair. This is useful as not everyone buried in the lair may be named of the headstone (if there is one). I found one on there where only the wife was named on the headstone but there were 6 family members in the same grave.

I would still like to see that cert though.

I am happy with what we have found but I, personally, would like to see a bit more 'proof' that we are right.

Thanks Ja....x for 'pulling together' what we have found !!

Alas,Dea------Wondering the same thing!

Where the bleep are George and Henry/Harry in 1891???

I was hoping for someone with more refined eyesight than mine (ie -your nose and the computer screen don't have to be touching each other) to have a look at the signatures from the London marriages for Emily. Is she (the witness) a sister or the mother?. Either way....the handwriting could be a bit of help:

All from London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1921

Name: Alice Pescott
Age: 23
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1885
Spouse Name: Albert Henry Landell

Name: Emily Pescott
Age: 20
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1882
Spouse Name: Frederick Devan

Name: Henry Prescott
Age: 20
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1879
Spouse Name: Annie Perry
Spouse Age: 19
Record Type: Marriage

Name: Annie Pescott
Age: Full Age
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1873
Spouse Name: John Cooper
.................................
And the 1911 (thanks,Chris!!!) for Emily:
1911 census transcription details for: 166 Hornsey Road
PESCOTT, Emily Alone Single F 63 1848 Domestic City of London

Hi Maureen,

I am glad I am not alone on this !!

I am happy that what we have found all fits together and may well all be correct BUT, I still cannot be certain that it is the correct info for SS!

Don't want to be a 'wet blanket' but I always like to 'prove' everything before I accept it as correct !!

Dea

Dea Report 19 Feb 2011 16:54

Well,

we are hoping that this birth will be 'your' Henry and that it will also prove the link to George Martin as being the father??

Though, I suspect it will not name a father !!

Births Dec 1880
PESCOTT Henry Martin Islington 1b 345

This is the cert that you need to order in the first instance!

I hope you are feeling better today !!
