Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if you can look at Birth and Baptism records from Hatfield Heath and Hatfield Broad Oak Essex online?

familysearch have some transcriptions or you could try freereg or Google.

I found this record but don't no if Thomas and Mary are Jacobs parents? Can anyone help please. Also I cant find Jacob in 1851 Jacob married Sarah Challis in 1848 (jacod died in 1855)

The 1851 census says he is the son of Thomas and Francis

There are no other James Sapsford's born around that time

Thank you all so much, I find the Sapsford side very confusing as so many came from the same area with the same names.

Can someone Just check that I have this correct so far

William Sapsford b.1856/57 Hatfield Heath fathers name Jacob Sapsford (on marriage cert to Ann Levett)
Could not find a William Sapsford b.1856/57 with the father as Jacob only William Sapsford b.1853 (thinking he may have lied about his age as on the marriage cert he states just "full age")
Jacob was deceased at the time of marriage in 1880
