Wow - I still think she's mine! I'll see if I can find anything on Elizabeth A Green that could lead me to Violet's happenings after these dates.

We go from vicars to prostitution in this branch of my family. Reminds me of the vicars and tarts balls that take place now.

I can't wait to see my cousins' reactions.

Thank you so much. I'll post anything I come up with on Violet.

Not found anything concrete about which Elizabeth A Green was roped in with Violet - of course they may not have known each other apart from the court appearance.

Also, I've not found another Violet Bunting who fits the bill and, although it's conjecture, I believe this one is mine, the youngest sister of my great-grandmother.

I have no idea what went wrong with her but I think it would be sad for her father who was still alive. Her mother died about 18 months before Violet's first court appearance and I don't know whether Violet stayed with her father in the area or whether her father moved immediately to his son's house in Newcastle where he died in 1889.

What a sad time for the family. Sadder still, if Violet was never heard from again, I'm afraid.

Chris, if you come across anything else would you let me know, please? I have no newspaper access but I can easily visit the Records Office if there is anything.
