At the Dollar Academy, Dollar, Clackmannanshire, Scotland, there is a war memorial to students who died in WW1 and WW2. This gives details of their rank and company -- not always a Scottish one. There is also a typed list which gives second names, some of which could give a clue to their family. |

Barry, thanks again, but what exactly is it that you're trying to help me find? That Mundia link again asks me to sign up as a member and start a tree. Links to pages that have required a membership and password to access generally just revert to the 'join up' invitation. I'm trying to travel light, genealogically speaking. |

Thank you, Barbara! I was beginning to think it was all my fault. It would be lovely to find recent descendents. I am compiling a list of certificates to apply for as being really the best way, but it is expensive, so I do thank you too, Barry, for trying so hard to set the direction for me. |
