I'm looking for an Alexander Collins who, possibly, married a lady called Millicent ?
Alexander would have been born somewhere between 1890 - 1910. He was, at some time, a commercial salesman and lived, again at some time, in the Kennington Road, London, and possibly, in the Hendon area. Millicent could have been a waitress. Millicent was probably born c1900.

Yes I have. Problem is, my dad never had a birth cert. so I'm not able to get his mothers (Millicent) maiden name.Makes it very difficult to search a marriage.

I'm guessing they produced a child........if so, what was the child's name? And birth year/birthplace?

Is your dad known as Collins? You should be able to find his birth cert .or we can take a look for you

The fact that your father didn't have a birth cert doesn't mean that there wasn't one.

Yes there was a child, although I am not 100% sure that Alexander was the father.
The child was my Dad. He died in 1991. He didn't have a birth cert. (Well not in the name of Gerald Collins. Could be that he was actually born as someone else and was given Collins when Millicent married/met Alexander))
I have been reasearching for 18 months now.
I believe my dad was born on 16th July 1932, possibly in Hendon.
He was fostered when he was 5 and a half years old. Never saw his natrual parents again. (As far as I know)
I have the names Millicent and Alexander Collins from an arrest sheet for Millicent. 30/12/37. She was arrested in the Kennington Road for being drunk. My dad (aged 5) was with her. He was then taken into care.
