Find Ancestors

Trying to find a record of birth and mother's name. Father was Rev. Eustace Hill and she married Henry Close-Smith in 1948. She is listed on The Peerage.com. I'd be grateful for any assistance.

What part of the world might she have been born in, and when?

Her husband was born in 1918 and they married in 1948 so she was probably born between 1918 and 1930.

Kathleen, you could really do with her marriage cert in order to ascertain her age, and the witnesses might offer more clues also.

It's not me who's looking for this Jan. The poster is Kevin. I took the details from the Peerage website. I can't find a marriage in 1948 in England.

Her son was born in 1951 in Kensington, London and her daughter was born in Chelmsford, Essex in 1954.

Hi Kevin, it's quite confusing because there are two clergymen called Eustace Hill and just a few years apart in age.

Even more confusing is that there's the birth reg that BMD posted above for a Cecile MW Hill born 1912 but there doesn't appear to be a reg for the Cicely born 1924.

So just WHO are Cicily and Richard Wustace Cator Hill?

There is a tree on Ancestry has Richard Eustace as the son of Edward Eustace and Elizabeth born 01/06/1924. Also these two children (deceased) and a private one (still living) - maybe Richard and Cicily were twins? And born outside of England/Wales?

Well this nails down Richard Eustace but ther'e not an England/Wales birth for him as far as I can see
