Wow! Good morning everyone. Thank you for your hard work whilst I was catching up on my beauty sleep.

Sarah definitely married a Joseph Fluin. But seeing as Fluin is such an unusual name, and the proximity of where they were all living, they must definitely be related, they are all within a stones throw of each other.

This gives me something else to think about!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to look things up for me. Very much appreciated.

According to the 1901 census, Charles Fluin (Transcribed as Fluiss/Fluire) was born in 1892.

I can't see a birth registered for him but wondering about this.....

Name: Charles Fluin
Spouse name: Emma Tree
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1906

If he was born in 1892........he would have been 16 when he married?

Oooh thank you all. I have been on bmd and deceasedonline while you have all been busy replying to me.

I see that Joseph and Sarah died within 3 months of each other. Was 1906 the height of the influenza epidemic? Maybe that accounts for the daughter being in some kind of institution?

I have gained more info tonight, than in the last 5 years searching. Thank you all very much for your time and efforts, very much appreciated.

Best wishes
Madeleine

Thank you Fredk, but Cooper was Sarah's maiden name.

She married a Joseph Fluin/Fluiss, and I think lived in Islington.

But thank you for looking up the 1911 for me.

Cheers.

Oh sorry Andy, I waffled on and did not answer your question!

My ancestor is the mother Sarah. She had a child in 1891 out of wedlock, and left him with her parents, then married and had a new family.

Strangely, she named her first born son and her eldest son in her new family the same................Charles!!

Thanks for your help so far.
