if he ws born i 1919 that would make him 65 when he married, not beyond the realms of possibility I know.

And is it the same one as in the death record you found earlier? or it maybe it's a son's marriage. so many unanswered questions...

This is from Ancestry's info on how to obtain Florida marriage certificates:

"Copies of marriage records are available through the Florida Department of Health. They maintain marriage records beginning in January 1927. For information about how to obtain a copy, please visit their website (www.doh.state.fl.us). Records of marriages occurring before 1927 must be obtained from the clerk of the circuit court of the county in which the marriage license was issued.

Many of these marriages may also be available on microfilm at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. These microfilms can be loaned out to thousands of local Family History Centers throughout the world."

Hmm- looking at the white pages entry for Alan, an associated name is Sharon Strayer Learch.

Could Sharon S Learch and Strayer S Learch as per the US public indexes (addresses) be the same person rather than twins?

Irrelevant really, but intriguing!

Searches for Strayer S Learch just seem to fetch up Sharon Strayer Learch so perhaps they're one and the same.

Do death Certs in USA have place of birth on them ?

I have just found Alan Noxon Learch on Face Book . and sent him a message. I hope he is the right one and maybe my long search will be over

Earlier Florida DC do have the place of births, but this was mid 20th century - no idea about more recent ones. Of course, the information given is only as good as the informant's knowledge.
