Prisoner was a native of Shrewsbury, and went to Daybrook at an early age, he served in the Durham Light Infantry, and was discharged on account of gas poisoning, for which he was granted a pension of 16s. a week. He had various kinds of employment including that of a farm labourer at Barton.
He was a married man with one child, and was living apart from his wife.

There were three previous convictions.
Prisoner was sent to gaol for six months.

Think this is Lucy Ann in 1939 - note DoB. I can't find a marriage to a William Bingham, but a note in green by her name has "c/w Francis Lucy Ann". Maybe an indication that she was just known as Bingham? If a change of name due to marriage would expect the date that the name was changed on the register to be noted too.

Remembering John Thomas

John Thomas Wright was born 1891 one of nine children of bricklayer's labourer, John Wright and Mary Ann who was a seamer of hosiery. In 1901 and 1911 the family lived in Mansfield Lane, Calverton.

John married Lucy Taylor in 1913. In 1920 widow, Lucy, remarried to Thomas Barks and moved to Cauldwells Yard, Sherwood St., Warsop, Mansfield.

John enlisted in Mansfield12th Bn. Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby).
