Find Ancestors

Could someone with access to South African Immigration records help to find a William Muir and or Mary Moore going from Glasgow to South Africa between 1920 and 1950 .
I have found a marriage cert. in 1926 on Familysearch for a William Muir to Mary Moore in S.A both born 1893 born in Scotland William's occupation was Engineer .
I havn't been able to find a marriage cert anywhere in Scotland or yet a death for William only a death certificate in Glasgow for Mary with William's signature ,,neither of them are with their parents in 1921 .
Any help would be great,

Does William's signature on the death cert match exactly the signature on the marriage record?

Mary died in 1951 in Glasgow but up until then there is no sign of either of them in Scotland .

His signature does match the one on her death cert.

Sorry , they are both on the electoral roll in Glasgow in 1950 staying with 2 of Mary's sisters and then a few months later in 1951 they are at another address in Glasgow where Mary died .

There is a thread on Genes about them but I can't seem to find it , working on a new laptop and seem to be missing a few things.

On the immigration record they are both 56 - he is a 'Fitter' and the address to which they are going is 7, Tassie Street, Shawlands, Glasgow

Also going to that address is Alexandrina Moore aged 51, a Dressmaker

My guess would be that they returned to Scotland in 1949 because Mary was ill.
He would probably have flown back to SA after her death, so there will be no online record of that.

I've just found the actual death cert on FS:

It gives his DOB as 9 June 1893.
It says he was married (maybe just means to Mary ?) and was a fitter with ERE (don't know what that stands for).
Duration of last illness:
2 days coronary thrombosis; "several months" carcinoma of prostate.
Informant: S Kn...... (can't read the name - possibly Knoeren) 9 Jack Street, Germiston.
The informant's qualification is "causing cremation" - and is also informant on many other death certs "causing cremation" or "causing burial", so I assume that's someone at the crematorium/cemetery.

Just found another marriage for William in Germiston on 27th February 1954 ,
so I'm presuming his widow would have taken his ashes

Can't find any emigration record for Mary - unless this is it.
Not enough info to be sure. The age isn't quite right for your Mary.
