Dear friends, thankyou so much for this info.
Richard i am told, did drown in London docks, and i will at some point get his death certificate should i be able to source where this will be.
I am also pleased to know about this George who could well be my gt gt grandfarther, and could be the one who died in Edmonton.I cant believe it has taken so long to track him down, but need to be aware there was more than one George from my area of Portsmouth,i`ve even found a George who was at the New Inn IOW,looking for bricklayers ,and a George who died in Droxford area.
Will keep you posted, but any help you can pass my way will be very much appreciated.

Dear Friends,
Can`t be sure, but have recently been given info regarding a George Durrell who went to prison for a month in November 1853 for neglect of wife and child but was given a pardon and released early. It`s possible that he and his wife, split up, but did not divorce, so the mystery for me is where did George go, and if it`s true that his daughter married a sailor which she did in 1887, he must have been alive,to allegedly cut her from his estate.I would be very grateful if anyone can figure out what went on here without using the George Durrell who died in 1865 as a reference point, because he is the wrong one.
Any help would be most welcomed.
Yours in success,
Frustrated searcher,Glenn.
